Description
FREYJA is a beautiful example of the Norseman 480, a stylish flybridge motor yacht well suited for a luxurious “GREAT LOOP” experience. The current owners have just finished the Loop and have returned to Florida where they are planning their next adventure. With twin screws and bow and stern thrusters, the boat is a breeze around the docks, and the shallow draft allows access to a wider range of anchorages and marinas than many smaller vessels. Two staterooms and two heads provide owners and guests some privacy, while the main salon welcomes all with an inviting feel. The large galley to port sits at the same level as the salon, keeping the chef involved in shipboard activities.
This classic model draws from the very successful Norseman sailboat lineage and earns high marks from ex-sailors looking to get around a little faster. Norseman has done a great job designing a comfortable and well thought out layout paired with fine joinerwork and high end hardware. Easy access from the bridge to all deck points from bow to stern makes line handling easy for one person to handle. The custom dinghy launch allows for access to each end of the swim platform whether the tender is in position or deployed. The large bridge provides wonderful views and a great spot to start, or end, your day.
The master stateroom has generous headroom and an island style bunk, for easy access in and out from both sides. Plenty of storage in this area for serious cruising.
The aft cockpit is open and spacious with a teak sole. It can be outfitted with gear for fishing, diving, swimming, lounging or just add a table and chairs for a card game or al fresco dining. The port and starboard transom doors give easy access to the swim platform.
FREYJA is a great boat that is easy to handle with a focus on safety, visibility and comfort aboard. The big Cummins engines sip fuel in the 6-7 knot range, providing over two miles per gallon of fuel economy, Top speed, when you need it, exceeds 20 knots. Call today to make an appointment to see this fabulous vessel.

For 29 years, Bill was the public “face” of Island Packet Yachts to customers, dealers and industry members worldwide. A well-known speaker at boat shows, owner rendezvous' and marine-industry events, Bill had joined the fledgling boat builder in 1987, fulfilling a wide variety of roles over the years including customer service, dealer acquisition and training, sales, marketing, and quality assurance. Bill first got hooked on sailing at the age of 13 after sailing a Sunfish across the crystal-clear waters of Montego Bay, Jamaica. After graduating from college, he bought his first new boat, a Hobie 16, started a sailing school with a friend, and on a first date with his future wife, won the Hobie 16 Tri-State Championship with her as crew. After several years working as a marine patrol officer for the state of Ohio, Bill began selling yachts and teaching sailing for a Lake Erie dealership. He moved to Florida a few years later, where his new-boat sales acumen included models from companies such as Tartan, Pearson, C&C, S-2, Cal, Catalina, Beneteau, Morgan, Endeavour and, of course, Island Packet. Bill served nine years on the board of Sail America, including two terms as president, and was selected to be one of three judges for the 2017 Cruising World magazine Boat of the Year competition. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Yacht Broker’s Association of America as Vice President, and is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker. His in-depth knowledge of the industry and keen focus on customer relations make him a valued addition to the S&J Yachts team.
