Dave graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a degree in Marine Science and later earned an MBA from the University of Washington. His twenty-year Coast Guard career included two commands, a 95 ‘ patrol boat and a 180′ buoy tender, both in Alaska.
Dave and his wife, Peggy, bought and moved on their first catamaran in 2007. After cruising for several years, they moved to the Pacific Northwest and purchased a brokerage and charter company that they owned for four years. At that point it was time to get back on another catamaran. They spent the next four years living aboard full time and splitting their time between the Chesapeake Bay and the Bahamas.
Dave has a total of fourteen years’ experience as a yacht broker, joining S&J Yachts in 2026.
