Description
1983 Rybovich 55 Convertible Sportfish
"Lucky" is Rybovich hull # 84 built as the "Marlynn". In recent years she has undergone two major refits; the receipts for which total well above her asking price. Most recently, a full paint job was completed 6/2022. All work was done by Michael Rybovich. She is in extraordinary cosmetic condition and the 1,000 hour engine service was recently completed at 930 hours. Tuna Tower was new in 2016.
LUCKY is that turnkey opportunity that seldom surfaces on the market.

About
1983 Rybovich 55 Convertible Sportfish
Award-winning custom sportfish boatbuilder, John Rybovich & Sons was originally founded in 1919. The three sons, John Rybovich Jr, Tommy, and Emil realized an opportunity to focus on building sportfishing boats from the ground up for big game fishing off Florida's coast, the Bahamas, and Caribbean and built their first boat in 1947. The brothers became the innovators of sportfishing convertible yachts in what has become known as the Florida style. Some of those innovations include the sleek profiles, teak trim, transom doors for hauling aboard big gamefish, pedestal fighting chairs, aluminum tuna tower, and speed! LUCKY is a beautiful example of the Rybovich signature broken sheerline, originally sketched by Tommy Rybovich. Rybovich has been a major influence on other sportfish boat builders, both custom and production. Rybovich sportfish yachts are prized for their timeless beauty and superior cold-molded mahogany construction (since the 1960s). The Michael Rybovich & Sons boatyard continues to use the cold-molded epoxy method, along with newer innovative materials such as carbon fiber. The Master's Angling Tournament, founded in 1963 by Johnny Rybovich and sponsored by the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach, is the world's most prestigious release tournament. And that is what sportfishing is about--and LUCKY is designed and built for, in luxurious classic Rybovich style.

Professional
I have been a licensed Yacht Broker in the State of Florida since 1980. During the last 31 years I have worked for 5 different Brokerages, Dealers, and Builders, but spent 24 of those years at the world famous Rybovich Boatworks where I was Brokerage Manager and New Construction Sales Manager. I have been lucky enough to have worked with some of the best Owners, Captains, and Crews in the sportfishing world, not to mention some truly awesome boats. I have always specialized in high end custom and stock sportfisherman and have sold well over a hundred Rybovich boats, which is a number that no other broker has ever come anywhere close to. I haven’t sold every Rybovich ever built, but I have sold most of them at least once and many of them several times. You can bet that I know where most of the skeletons are buried, what’s been done to them over the years, who babied them, who ran them hard, and which ones are just a little better for one reason or another.
Philosphy
I learned a long time ago that the truth will set you free and have made it a central tenet of my sales philosophy. There are thousands of brokers out there that you, as a buyer or seller, can choose to deal with…but why would you? It doesn’t cost a penny more to deal with somebody who has a long history of honest representation, firsthand knowledge, and industry leading acomplishments. If you are ready for a new yacht acquisition or are looking for a no-nonsense, effective, and professional marketing effort for your present yacht please contact me and enjoy the difference that my experience will bring to the table. I’m an expert at saving you time, hassles, and money and I’m here to earn your business one boat at a time.
Personal
I grew up in a boating family in Newport Beach, California and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1977. After graduation I spent a couple of years hanging out in the Bahamas where I quickly became addicted to big game fishing and custom sport fisherman. I have lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for the last 18 years and am blessed with my wife of 22 years, three daughters (Go Gators) and one grandson. Most of my down time is spent fishing for swordfish off of Palm Beach or deep dropping over in the Bahamas on my custom express fisherman “Sunchaser”.
