Description
We sold this boat to the present owner 10 months ago but due to some health issues, they are regrettably offering her for sale. They are more than happy to share the survey they had done last October to anyone who is interested. Here is a short list of somethings they have done to her since purchasing her.
- New anchor roller
- New anchor rode
- New Jensen Radio/CD/MP3
- 2 new tachs
- Garmin GPS/sounder 741xs
- New Green Sunbrella cover from the windshield to the transom
- New rear seat cover
Do not have the year of this boat put you off. She has been immaculately maintained and it shows everywhere you look. Her hull and deck look like a much newer vessel with a unique Dark Green painted hull and polished decks that shine. All the soft goods on her exterior have been replaced from her canvas to her cockpit and bridge deck cushions, and all indoor and outdoor carpeting has been replaced. In 1989 Sea Ray made some notable changes to the interior, where the earlier models were laden with teak and were quite dark below, this boat is bright and inviting.
Just to mention a few of the items that have been updated through the years;
- Both transmissions were completely rebuilt
- Fuel gauges and fuel sensors replaced in 2021
- Air-conditioning replaced in 2011
- Bottom soda blasted and barrier coated
- Kohler 7.5KW generator installed 2011 and only has 100 hrs
- Vacu-flush toilet replaced in the last 3 years
- All cockpit vinyl seating re-covered in the last 5 years
- Canvas has been replaced in the last 8 years and looks great
- Some Isenglass replaced in the last 5 years
- Heat exchangers were completely rebuilt in 2015
- Windlass motor replaced in 2015
- New water heater and hoses in 2021
Bay Dancer needs to be seen to appreciate just how nice she is. Despite all the attention the owners have invested in this boat, they are realistic in regard to her asking price. This is a lot of boat that is in "Turn Key" condition. Don't pass this beauty by!
She is located in Solomons, Md. Please contact the listing broker, Laird Larrimore, for more information or to set up an appointment.

Overview
Accommodations;
Starting forward, she has a lovely double berth with custom fabrics by Yacht Interiors of Annapolis. Shelves outboard as well as 4 port lights for lots of natural light, hanging locker to port with central Vac below, to STB is more cabinet space with shelves above and cabinet below, this also serves as a vanity with mirror. One could make this a private cabin with a curtain but the design allows for a wide opening to the salon for a very spacious feel. Flat-screen TV on the bulkhead for the forward cabin and an opening hatch above for additional light and ventilation.
Next is the Main Salon with a fore and aft facing dinette to port and a large U-shape galley to starboard. Opening hatch above and large fixed portlights port and starboard, again allowing for plenty of light. Shades in the area give privacy. Following the galley is the fully enclosed head and aft of the dinette is the electric panel and companionway to the bridge deck.
All the way aft is the second stateroom with queen berth and an opening portlight aft for natural light and ventilation. There is plenty of storage and a mirror on the aft bulkhead gives the illusion of a much larger space. Here too all her fabrics were done by Yacht Interiors of Annapolis. A privacy curtain can be attached here as well.
Up the companionway to the bridge deck where the helm is to starboard with double captain's seat and a double mates seat next to it. Lovely updated vinyl fabric adds to her classy good looks. Behind the captain's seat is a wet bar with sink, ice bucket holder and room for 3 bottles. The aft cockpit has a large forward facing bench seat aft and abundant storage under the combings all around. Transom door to port leads to her swim platform.

The water has always been a part of my life since learning to sail aboard a Sailfish while vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts. At twelve, I graduated to Penguins and 420’s at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland. My parents always belonged to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia and I often accompanied them on cruises aboard a Hinckley Bermuda 40 that we cruised in the Chesapeake.
Understanding banking after working 12 years for Loyola Savings and Loan of Maryland, I helped navigate the purchase of a 32’ Pearson Vanguard for a friend and taught him to sail. Loving the idea of sharing my passion for boating, I joined Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales (in what is now Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and Marina) in 1990 and worked as a broker for fifteen years.
In 1993, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales became a dealer for Sabre and Back Cove Motor Yachts and I acquired an understanding and respect for powerboats. I worked closely with the boatyard commissioning new vessels and working as a liaison between new owners and the marina. I have an intimate understanding of the boat buying process - how to guide new owners through surveys, sea trials, registration, and documentation.
I love all boats and each one has its own quality. Though I would consider myself a traditionalist in boat design, I like what the new designs offer in comfort and ability.
When not talking boats, my husband (of 25 years) and I live in Easton, Maryland. My husband is the rigging supervisor at Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and our daughter works at the marina full time, having graduated from Washington College in 2020. She earned her Teaching Certification and is applying for a teaching position in English.
I am starting my 4th year as a broker with Brewer Yacht Sales and in addition to my office at Safe Harbor Zahniser’s in Solomon’s, Maryland I now have an office at Safe Harbor Oxford. This enables me to cover the territory from the Eastern Shore to Solomon’s Island and everything in between.
I look forward to speaking with you and sharing my passion for boats. Let me help you find the perfect yacht or support and guide you in the sale of your existing vessel!
