Description
Cutty Sark a 1990 Sabre 38 MK II with a dark blue hull that a buyer will likely want to repaint due to the existing paint failure and some scuffs. On deck are areas of gelcoat surface cracking. Due to the owner's health the boat has not been in the water since summer of 2023. She is in need of a new owner.
She has a wing keel with 4' 9" draft. The teak interior is clean and has a rich look that is very accommodating for the captain and crew a nicely appointed electronics package for cruising or just day sailing. The master stateroom forward in the V berth with storage, shelves are above each side of the berth hanging locker, and a vanity sink. The main salon there is the keel stepped mast a straight settee to starboard and a L settee to port with plenty of storage. Further aft the navigation station to starboard with a comfortable seat and electronics mounted on the teak panel. The L shaped galley is to port with a CNG stove and oven. Aft of the galley the guest stateroom for 2 with storage. The head is to starboard aft with deep sink pressure hot and cold water. This classic Sabre 38 Mk II is ready for her next owner.

With a life-long passion for boats and the water much of what I've done in life has in one way or another involved boats. As a youngster, my family owned several boats which we kept in Branford, CT at the Indian Neck Yacht Club. After high school, I spent 15 years in the U.S. Coast Guard in which I spent 18 months in Alaska before returning to CT where I became certified as coxswain of Coast Guard search and rescue boats up to 44'.
After my Coast Guard service, I worked for 10 years in the wholesale marine equipment business where I supplied boatyards and marine dealers throughout Connecticut.
In 1983 I began selling new boats and have worked for two reputable Connecticut dealerships; 14 years at Milford Boat Works selling new Mako, Pursuit, Phoenix, Black Watch, Cape Dory, and North Coast powerboats plus O'Day, Cal, Pearson and Freedom sailboats. Then 14 years at Petzold's Marine selling new Sabre, Back Cove, Silverton, Mainship, Luhrs, Egg Harbor and Ocean powerboats. I now have a long, successful history of selling quality new boats.
In 2013, after 30 years of selling new boats I was ready for a change. I decided to concentrate exclusively on the brokerage boat market. I joined Brewer Yacht Sales, one of the Northeast's largest yacht brokerage firms. I've now been at Brewer Yacht Sales for over 12 years. I work out of three of Safe Harbor's largest Connecticut marinas: Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook, Bruce & Johnsons Marina in Branford and Stratford Marina in Stratford.
Buying or selling a yacht can be a comprehensive process and you should choose your broker carefully. I am proud of my reputation for honesty and my designation as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB). With 40+ years and over 1200 boat sales transactions behind me, the knowledge and experience I've gained are invaluable when it comes to protecting my client's interests. Whether you are considering buying or selling, power or sail, I can help. I look forward to working with you.
