The Cheoy Lee 53' Motor Sailor has been long known as a rugged bluewater motorsailer capable of taking you to the furthermost reaches of the world's oceans. The raised helm deck provides captain and crew with a 360-degree view of their voyage. The cozy spacious pilothouse protects all from the harshest elements. These attributes are just a taste of the many highlights that have given this passage maker a cult following. Only a hand full were ever built and even fewer have been maintained and updated to the caliber of this awesome cruiser.
Standing dockside it is evident the amount of love that this vessel has been treated to. The new exterior paint, new teak decks, and constantly maintained varnish trim stop all walkers by to gaze at this beauty.
The vessel is easily boarded from the midship safety gates. From the water, two large gleaming stainless davits allow tender passengers quick retrieval of their new dinghy. The all-new teak decks provide sure-footed traction from stem to stern. Sturdy stainless bow and stern rails with side safety cables provide crew with protection while transiting the exterior decks. The raised helm deck with a full aft seating enclosure encircles all passengers during the harshest conditions. Two ladder back helm seats give the captain a commanding location with arms reach to all mechanical, electronic, and sailing gear.
A beautiful teak cabin door on the port side of the helm provides access to the cozy pilothouse. The helm to port features all-new B&G electronics, Faria Engine Instrumentation, and Cobalt engine controls. A long bench seat/pilot birth behind gives passengers a great vantage point through the tempered new wrap-around windows. Numerous cabinets allow for storage of books, navigation, and safety equipment. Other pilothouse features include white and red overhead lights, new teak and holly sole, and new cruise air reverse cycle air conditioning.
From the pilothouse, three steps down brings you to the salon and galley area. Immediately to port is the U-shaped galley, features include beautiful teak cabinets, Corain countertops, large stainless refrigerator and freezer, Force 10 oven and stove, and abundant storage. The salon forward of the galley has port and starboard leather Settees with abundant storage behind and below. Other highlights include huge Bomar hatch, beautiful floral curtains, white vinyl overhead, new teak and holly sole, and a new 42' flat-screen TV with built-in picture display.
From the salon forward two steps down brings you to the forward companionway. Immediately to port is the enclosed head with separate shower stall. Head amenities include Vac-U-Flush head, porcelain sink, Bomar hatch, porthole, stall shower, and 4 cabinets. The forward cabin consists of two single over under births. Additional items include teak wall coverings, large hanging locker, Bowmar hatch, two portholes, chain locker access, AC Vent, and reading light. The second guest stateroom is to starboard. Features include air condition controls, hanging locker, 4 drawers, two portholes, and reading lights.
The master stateroom is all the way aft. There is an island queen birth with teak cabinets and wall coverings. The overhead is white vinyl and the sole is Parque. There are two large hanging lockers and abundant cabinets and drawers. Forward of the birth is a vanity mirror and swing out seat. The ensuite enclosed head has a Vac-U-Flush head system, large walk-in shower stall, numerous cabinets, and a porthole.

Gregg spent his early years crewing on Sport Fishing vessels and Yachts around the South Florida and Bahamas area. This allowed him to accumulate a vast amount of underway sea time and experience offshore.
After Gregg received his A.S Degree in Marine Propulsion Technology, he quickly obtained his U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master License. Soon after that he worked as a diesel mechanic then an Outboard mechanic for several years.
Always open for new challenges he moved his sights on Vessel manufacturing. This included two years at Thunderbird Formula Boats as Quality Assurance Manager. After that several years at Blackfin Yachts also in QC department.
After several Marine trade publications featured Gregg's early accomplishments, he was scouted by a government contracting corporation. He was placed as a sight manager on the US Customs vessel maintenance and deployment division. Eventually promoted to Contract manager and Quality Assurance Leason manager.
Moving his sights on new challenges he began working with insurance companies preforming marine damage appraisals and cause of loss reports. Gregg continued this path for many years representing several notable companies as a self-employed sub-contractor.
For the last 23 years Gregg has been a Licensed Yacht & Ship Broker and member of Florida Yacht Brokers Association. Now with Atlantic Yacht & Ship Gregg feels very much at home. He has experience with countless sales of Motor Yachts, Trawlers, Sport Fishing vessels, and Sail. Gregg has been able to successfully apply his vast marine industry knowledge to assist his clients. He also oversees vessel retrofits and deliveries. Gregg’s repeat clientele and frequent referrals is a testament to his dedication to finding your next dream vessel. Gregg and his wife reside in Key West, Fort Lauderdale, and North Carolina and is always willing to travel to any location worldwide to apply his trade & expertise.
