Description
" SKOOCH " is a 58 Hatteras Long Range Cruiser, known for her sturdy hull on the outside and spacious living area on the inside. Though she is a 1976 model, she has been expertly maintained and cared for. Her hull was repainted in 2014 and her interior upgrades have brought her into the 21st century with out losing her sought after vintage style. Her current owners have cruised her up and down the east coast, the Bahamas and west coast of Florida, while previous owners have taken her much further. In today's world, she's the perfect boat if you want to travel far, using less fuel.
" SKOOCH " has a large enclosed aft deck and updated galley, making your voyage as comfortable as being at home. The master stateroom is aft, separated from the two forward stateroom's by the engine room, giving privacy to the owners and guest. The day head off the pilothouse is a convenient feature also.
The owners still have some finishing touches to put on flybridge, which they have been upgrading as well. There is now a bar with 4 teak chairs, lighting and soft goods are to follow, which will make for a whole other area to enjoy on this lovely vessel. If you are ready for some memorable cruising, don't miss taking a look at this one!

John Painter grew up fishing the beautiful mountain lakes and streams of Charleston, West Virginia. In his youth, he began visiting coastal Carolina where the draw of ocean and saltwater fishing took hold. So much so, that in 1982 he moved to North Carolina and made a total commitment to the boating life with a career as a new and brokerage boat salesman in the Morehead City area. From a life on the water and 20-plus years helping others enjoy the same, John prides himself as being somewhat of a technical expert on all aspects of boat construction and propulsion systems. John says the most rewarding aspect of working in the marine industry are all of are the friendships he has made along the way, and being able to both work and live on the Crystal Coast with his wife Debbie, and daughters Blair and Bowe.
