Description
This Dutch-built Van Der Werf superyacht carries 42 guests in 21 staterooms on her three accommodation decks, with up to 30 in crew. The master provides almost 1,000 square feet of living space, and the two VIP’s have over 500 square feet each. With a volume of more than 2000 gross tons, Chakra offers huge interior entertainment areas on two decks with multiple bars, upper and lower salons, a theatre, a sitting room, and a dining salon that comfortably seats 20 for dinner.
Chakra has a fitness center that rivals a private retreat. There are eight machines plus free weights, a yoga studio, a tranquil massage room, a sauna, a professional beauty salon for hair and nails, a spa-pool on the upper aft deck with a sunlounge surrounding it, plus the well-stocked tender/toy garage, all combine to create a true resort-style environment. There is also a hospital room aboard with life-saving emergency equipment.
Chakra underwent a complete reconstruction at the Devonport Shipyard in Plymouth, England in 1998, essentially rebuilding her inside and out, creating one of the most unique and recognizable classic-styled motoryachts in the world. She had a refit again in 2017, completely refreshing her interior décor and exterior finishes. Her hardwood floors, light fabric interior and stonework beautifully compliment her classic design. With a cruising speed of 14 knots and globe-trotting range of over 10,000 nautical miles, Chakra comfortably travels anywhere in the world with ease. She is being offered either fractionally, or as a whole boat. Additional details available upon request.

With over three decades of experience in the yachting industry and more than 20 years at Merle Wood & Associates, John Cohen is a highly respected luxury yacht broker who is regarded by
clients and peers alike as one of the most astute professionals in his field. He has traveled the globe to inspect, build, purchase, and sell luxury yachts of all sizes and types.
John was born and raised on the shores of Manhasset Bay, just a stone’s throw from Long Island Sound, a north shore yachting hot spot. In addition to having operated both power and sailing
megayachts, he has a wealth of experience in yacht construction, refit, management, charter, and, of course, sales. As director of sales and charter for Merle Wood & Associates, his firsthand
knowledge in all aspects of yachting has enabled him to build and maintain a strong clientele.
In the course of his work, he often travels to places like Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and Australia. He has been fortunate enough to build a worldwide clientele and referral network based on his clients’ trust. Due to his expertise in yachting, he has actually sold a number of yachts based solely on his recommendation - that is, “sight unseen” for the buyer acting entirely on John’s representation and guidance.
According to John, the practices taught in business school don’t always apply. He says the secret to his success is that he works hard to sell every yacht. “As they say, you’re only as good as your last sale,” John says. “While every deal has its challenges, it is my experience and performance that instills the confidence my clients have in me. My sales record speaks for itself.”
