Description
1992/Refit 2001 43 Hatteras
In 1992 Hatteras Yachts set the benchmark for styling and performance for midsized sportfish convertibles. The oversized 120 sq. ft. cockpit allowed for engine room access via the cockpit, a wide transom door, and full bait/tackle center to starboard. The two-stateroom layout with large master suite forward and bunk guest quarters to starboard was very appealing to the midsized sportfish convertible buyer.
Over the years “Journey” has undergone many upgrades including a repower in 2001 with Cummins QSM11 main engines, Onan 9 kW generator, custom Bluewater chairs, and updated GARMIN electronics. During previous ownership, the interior ash woodwork was stripped down and turned into a warm teak interior with Hunter Douglas silhouette blinds, updated window treatments, ultra-leather sofa, and bar stools at raised salon bar providing an upscale atmosphere for all guests on board.
In 2010 it was time again to give “Journey” some upgrades and the main engines we overhauled and have approximately 2,500 since completion. This 43 Convertible has an economical 38 gph at a comfortable 22-knot cruise speed. If you’re looking for a reliable and economical Sportfish Convertible, then “Journey” is a must see.

Throughout his childhood, Yacht Broker Justin Williams often spent time with his family on the local waters off Pensacola Beach, Florida. Enjoying those moments in and around the water, he found his passion for boating early in life.
Justin started working for several Gulf Coast marinas in college and served as a charter boat deck hand catching the infamous red snapper in the Gulf of Mexico. Charter fishing during the summers assisted Justin with paying his way through college at Birmingham-Southern College.
His passion for boats and sport fishing became more evident as Justin desired to find a way to create a job out of something he loved and enjoyed so much. In 2004, Justin obtained his U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton Captain’s license and had a unique opportunity to work for an up-and-coming Hatteras dealer in Orange Beach, Alabama.
He began with Gulf Coast Hatteras as a boat washer, detailer, and boat show set-up specialist. After a year, Justin moved up to delivery captain and part-time sales associate. In the economic downturn, he was forced to move to a boat dealership much closer to home, MarineMax Pensacola. There he spent six years and was the Employee Yacht Broker and assisted with growing the location brokerage sales each year.
In May of 2015, Justin was contacted by Rod Windley and Tony Strange, the current owners of Gulf Coast Yacht Group, and asked if he had any interest in returning home to the company where he originally started with and a brand of sportfishing yachts he came to love so much. Justin gladly accepted and was excited to be back involved with Gulf Coast Yacht Group and Hatteras Yachts. Upon returning, Justin had been assisting with opening a new location for Gulf Coast Yacht Group that was located at The Grand Marlin restaurant on Pensacola Beach, Florida.
In April of 2023, Gulf Coast Yacht Group was undergoing some changes and after evaluating his accomplishments over the past seven years with Gulf Coast Yacht Group, Justin decided it was time to make a change. As of May 2023, Justin decided to take the leap and move to Galati Yacht Sales out of Destin, FL, and Orange Beach, AL. Justin could not be more excited to continue working with some of the top new boat brands and best brokerage services along the Gulf Coast. If you have any yacht needs or questions, Justin is here to help.
