Chris Carrere, a fifth-generation Florida native, has spent his career and entire life in the Tampa region, nurturing his passion for boating and sport fishing. He graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee, in 1999 with a B.A. degree in economics. Not only is he a Certified, Professional Yacht Broker, but he is also a licensed U.S.C.G. Captain and has worked professionally on the crews of several Vikings.
Based on his first-hand experience, Chris has developed a specialty in Sport Fish yachts including, his certification from Viking on their Master’s Course and being a part of the Billfish Extreme Release League, winning first place on the 2006 team.
With seventeen years as a Yacht Broker, Chris has the expertise to assist in building or purchasing the right yacht for a customer based upon their objective, lifestyle, budget, and skill level, whether it is a new or a previously owned yacht. He is familiar with all the major brands, including many specialized custom manufacturers.
His integrity, knowledge, and family values have always been an important aspect of his high repeat customer volume. In fact, he has been honored as the Top Salesman in multiple years for brokerage sales, as well as other brands he specializes in. Chris and his lovely wife, Elizabeth, reside in South Tampa with their three children and are very involved in charitable and community activities, including The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, of which Chris is a past Chairman and active Board member. Aside from fishing in tournaments and with his family, Chris also enjoys hunting and participating in triathlons.
