Description
When Lagoon designed this 42 they hit the exact sweet spot for couples cruising. They made best use of the busiest living space: the main salon and cockpit. They made dinghy access, launch and storage easy. They moved the mast aft to make the main sail more manageable, and to provide for a big, self-tacking genoa. The U-shaped galley, excellent anchor access, easy and safe boom access, and many other details are top priorities on a cruiser’s wish list. The proof is here in the huge market success of this design. Pride of ownership and ease of upkeep is obvious here in Charis.

San Francisco is known for its hilly landscape, year-round fog, iconic Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and colorful Victorian houses. These are only some of the attributes that make San Francisco one of the most visited cities in the world.
The waters of the San Francisco Bay area offer the spectacular vistas and special conditions coveted by recreational boaters of all types and classes. And the Oakland Estuary provides the central bay’s most protected water. Marinas, restaurants, and various waterfront facilities line both of its banks.
The Oakland Marinas facility has more than 500 slips accommodating boat sizes 25’ to 75′ and offers features including keyed entry to docks, metered electricity, storage facilities, wireless high-speed Internet, complete firefighting system dockside and more.
Nearby are the Oakland Museum, the Oakland Zoo, a newly developed family-oriented park at Union Point Basin and Preservation Park with its dozens of restored Victorian homes. The marina is within walking distance of an Amtrak train station and the San Francisco Bay ferry system.
With a team of experienced brokers at our San Francisco location, Denison is here to help assist in meeting any and all needs, whether it’s brokerage services, a slip, maintenance, local attractions, restaurants, or just a helpful hand!

Sailor, rigger, mechanic, electrician, California yacht broker. Don Margraf got an early start knocking almonds and picking fruit with Braceros. He hauled interstate with the Teamsters. He built Mustangs for Ford. He tore down warehouses, rebuilt Victorians, played guitar at the Palomino and the Fillmore, shook hands with Dolly Parton and Lech Walecza, produced an album for a Grammy singer, ran the gamut, dodged a bullet and went the extra mile. His first boat was a 14-man woodie on the Tippecanoe River. He then sailed Rebels and Lightnings on a lake and was hooked. He sailed a couple hundred thousand ocean miles. He studied and worked with a great naval architect and consulted for boat builders on 3 continents. He raced sailboats and delivered yachts across oceans. He wrote magazine stories and marketing plans. And he swears the rhythm of the sea is heard best when Professor Longhair plays "Tipitina."
