This Custom, Un-Titled, One-of-a-Kind, Tides 45 Convertible was built in 2017, launched for a short time, then stored on the hard for several years while it was being completed and further custom changes made. Re-launched in 2022, this two-stateroom, two head, convertible has been further updated and is ready to be titled to her first owner. She is built to be light, yet strong, powered with very desirable and efficient Twin Cummins QSM-11 715HO 6 Cylinder, 24Valve Diesels with only 100 hours; she will get you offshore quickly for big game fishing with a cruise speed of 31 kts or leisurely cruise the ICW or head for the Bahamas with your family for luxurious cruising. It is equipped with a 12kW Phasor Generator with low hours, capable of running all onboard A/C and 120V appliances. Other features include a SidePower Bow Thruster, 42GPH Watermaker, built-in fiberglass fuel, water & waste tanks, and a raw water Sea Chest built into the hull; eliminating all other sea-cocks; a feature normally only found on much larger yachts.
The interior of this unique yacht has high-gloss Teak cabinetry, framed with light and strong NidaCore Coring, as well as teak and holly varnished flooring. Accomodations
Luxurious only begins to describe the spacious interior of this 2017 Tides Custom 45 Convertible the moment you enter the Salon through the Teak-framed sliding glass door from the Cockpit. The Conveniently located Electrical Panel is to port behind a high gloss Teak cabinet door, followed by additional storage cabinets below a solid-surface countertop. To Starboard is an L-shaped settee that curves around the back of the Salon, providing comfortable seating for the entire crew; gathered around the well-appointed U-Shaped Galley, with its aft counter wide enough to double as bar seating with the addition of bar stools. Under the aft counter are Four Sub-Zero Refrigeration/Freezer draws providing plenty of storage, and all the way forward a Microwave/Convection Oven, glass stove-top, sink and plenty of storage behind cabinet doors above and below, as well as outboard to Port. High-Gloss Teak and Holly Flooring completes the yacht-finish look of the Salon that is naturally bright from the large windows on 3 sides.
Moving forward to Starboard and down 3 stairs to the passageway, 2 A/C Systems are conveniently located on either side behind varnished teak cabinet doors, far from either of the staterooms below. To Starboard aft in the passageway is the Guest Head, with glass-enclosed private shower, a Planus full-size electric toilet, and large vanity and sink with mirrored storage cabinet above and storage cabinet below.

This Un-Titled, "like-new" 2017 Tides 45 Convertible was not completed and fully-commissioned until 2023. The Electrical system is designed and built to ABYC electrical standards and the AC/DC Electrical panels and circuit breakers are conveniently located inside the main entrance behind a gloss varnished Teak cabinet on the port side of the Salon. Shorepower is 220VAC 50A service and the onboard battery system is a combination of 12V and 24VDC; designed to make operation of the Windlass and other onboard heavy current use systems, more efficient and safer by utilizing 24 volts.

David likes to joke that he was born on the water and was sailing before he could walk. There may be some proof to that as his father and business partner Lee has circulated photos around the office of David single handing the families “sailing dinghy” at a very young age.
As a youngster, he became a successful sailor at the Thames Yacht Club (TYC) in New London, Ct. As a member of the TYC’s competitive sailing team racing Lasers, Blue Jays & 420’s. Through the years, he’s competed in countless one-design regattas, Block Island Race week, Off Soundings and even competed in 420 Nationals, where some of the most feverish competition was always expected.
During the “summer season” David could always be found somewhere on the water running boats all over New England, fishing, sailing, diving. At the young age of 15, David and his father Lee sailed the families J30 from New England to the West Coast of Florida where they set roots.
After spending the better part of two decades in various Executive Management & Sales positions in the mortgage lending/servicing and Default Asset Management space. Most recently serving as VP of Operations/Vendor Management for a National Default Asset Management Company and previously serving as the C.O.O. of a national asset disposition firm managing R.E.O. Properties for the nation’s largest financial institutions. David decided it was time to return to his passion of the marine industry.
With nearly 10 years of brokerage experience with some of Florida’s premier Yacht Sales Organizations, where he created the marketing and on-site display at Marina Jack, serving as the Edgewater Boats Product Line Manager. David also assisted with the Vicem & Marquis lines. David & Lee decided it was time to build their own brand and formed Professional Yacht Sales International in September of 2018.
David’s vast knowledge of both power and sailboaters’ needs gives our clients a comfort level that their best interests and Professional Representation are his primary concern. Regardless of which side of the transaction (buyer/seller/both) he is on, David brings his lifetime of experiences to every client relationship always putting the client’s needs first.
When he is not working (which is rarely) he is an avid boater, scuba diver & fisherman competing in local fishing tournaments.
