Nate Richards is a seasoned maritime enthusiast who hails from the picturesque shores of Casco Bay, Maine. Growing up surrounded by the sea, particularly on Chebeague Island, Nate developed an intimate understanding of the waters and coastal landscapes of Casco Bay.
His journey into the maritime industry began as a junior sailing instructor, where he honed his skills and passion for teaching others about the art of sailing. From there, Nate obtained his launch driver’s license and spent five years navigating launches along the bay, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge of the local waters.
Seeking to further his education, Nate pursued studies at the University of Maine, where he continued to deepen his understanding of maritime navigation and operations. Following his time at university, Nate ventured into big boat delivery, traversing coastal Maine and expanding his expertise in handling larger vessels.
His career then led him to assume the role of captain and operator of a 60-foot boat, where he demonstrated his leadership and seamanship abilities. Subsequently, Nate served as a dock master in Falmouth for two years, overseeing the bustling activities of a marina and ensuring smooth operations.
Eager to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors, Nate founded and successfully ran his own small business for three years. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen further solidified his standing within the maritime community.
Currently, Nate has found his niche as a valuable member of the East Coast Yachts Sales team, leveraging his extensive experience and passion for boating to assist clients in finding their perfect vessel.
