The Massey Difference
Ed Massey has been in the yacht sales and outfitting business for over 40 years. Ed Massey personally oversees the commissioning and delivery of all new yachts. Included in the process is a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Quality Control Inspection (MEP QC) conducted by Ed Massey. When you take delivery of your yacht, it will be as near perfect as a new yacht can be. This process takes about 6 weeks to complete after the yacht is delivered from Catalina. Ask us to send you a copy of the Massey Yacht Sales New Boat Commissioning and Quality Inspection Checklist.
When it is time to pick up your yacht, Ed Massey will give you four days of New Yacht Orientation and Handling. This final step includes a complete orientation of all equipment and systems on board and several days on the water to demonstrate sailing equipment and docking procedures.
Catalina Testimonial
The experiences and lands I have explored have far exceeded the expectations, when I viewed the production of my Catalina 445, model #3 back in May 2009. The intention was to enjoy her for five years then move on to other bucket list items. What I find is she is the vessel fulfilling many bucket items. With 14,000 nautical miles beneath "Xcape's" hull we have been to the Bahamas numerous times, up the east coast of US, down & up the Caribbean islands, across the Atlantic, through the French channels and presently I'm living on her in Cannes, France. This vessel has always given me the feeling it would meet the challenge. Naturally you need to keep up with maintenance, but every service individual that works on her comments how well the Catalina is built. The boat gets the same attention and comments in Europe. Five years has expanded to nine with no end date in sight. Below is Xcape at rest in Bonifacio, Croatia. Rod XXXX; Fort Lauderdale, Fl, USA

I have had the pleasure and privilege of selling, listing and outfitting yachts for couples and families since 1977. Nearly 40 years of involvement in the marine industry has given me the opportunity to learn a great deal about yachts, outfitting, problem solving and making dreams come true. During that period I have been involved one way or another in helping over 3,500 yachting families purchase or sell their yachts.
