Peter Hopwood spent his childhood years growing up boating in the Great Lakes on a 1973 28' Bertram which is still owned and used by his family.
In 1988 Peter started his own yacht management company while pursuing a Business degree. After graduating, he decided to sell his management company and become a professional yacht captain of large Surface Drive yachts, traveling between the Great Lakes and the East Coast of the United States.
As a captain, Peter was very involved in overseeing new yacht construction and taking delivery of many US and Italian built yachts. In the fall of 2001, he joined the yacht sales industry specializing in Surface Drive Yachts having extensive knowledge from experience as a Captain and new yacht construction management.
Today Peter still specializes in Italian Yachts and in making his client's experiences enjoyable. As a hobby, he enjoys restoring and racing vintage Porsche race cars.
