At the age of 27, I left upstate New York for a life on the water. I had only seen the ocean three times at that point. Having learned to sail on a ten-foot wooden boat on Otsego Lake I headed for the Azores to work on a whale-watching schooner. I spent the next several years working my way up to Mate on charter yachts in the Caribbean and New England eventually taking the Captain position for eight years on a private yacht. During that time I also managed several major refits and one boat build from a bare hull. In subsequent years I’ve continued to deliver yachts and operate a marine carpentry business.
My most rewarding memories over the years have been helping others realize their dreams of spending time on the water. I look forward to putting my experience to work in helping you find the perfect vessel and make the most of your time on the water.
