Description
This 1971 41' Newport built by Capital Yachts Inc. is in good shape and after 30 years of ownership, she must be sold as she is no longer being used. Built by Capital and designed by C and C off of the Redline 41 molds. She offers substantial strength at sea and is not easily pushed around by waves. She will take 20 knots of wind before considering reefing and can tack in 80% with no more than a 25 degree heel as her draft is 6'2” with skeg mounted rudder. Designed intelligently, well built with good speed and maneuverability and used for racing and cruising. She has had many repairs from rebuilt decks to bottom blister repair and new standing rigging with Staylocks. She was raced in the Trans Pac in her early days, was shipped to Ft. Myers from California and 30 years ago purchased by this current owner and delivered to the east coast. Dare to Dream is considered a project vessel although her projects are a new mainsail, cosmetics and electronics, but the boat is solid, the engine is strong and starts immediately. Come take a look if speed in your sailing vessel is important. Call Barry to set up your preview at 954-873-1800.
