Born in Daytona Beach as a third generation Floridian, I have always loved the water and knew at a young age I wanted to make a living that somehow involved it. As a kid, I worked on local charter and head-boats where I grew up in Ponce Inlet, FL. After obtaining my 100 T USCG captain's License in 1982, I went on to operate several of the charter and multi-passenger head-boats that I worked on when I was younger.
I eventually found my way into the Sportfishing world by the mid 1980's working on several custom Sportfishing boats. Tournaments and seasonal fisheries provided the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, the Pacific, and U.S. East coast. After starting a family in the early 1990's, I bought a 48' Custom Carolina and successfully operated a charter business out of New Smyrna Beach, FL for 16 years before eventually returning to the private Sportfish arena. My passion has always been custom Sportfishing boats, I have been fortunate to have worked and operated some of the best by builders such as Whiticar, Merritt, Spencer, Paul Mann, Jim Smith, and others.
With almost 40 years in the industry, I decided to put my experience to work assisting boat buyers and sellers in making good, informed decisions when purchasing or selling a boat. As a licensed broker since 2011 and owning my own brokerage for several years, I have had the pleasure of serving and forming many valuable relationships with my clients and look forward to many more! I now look forward to putting that experience to work for you as a member of the United Yacht Sales team.
