Description
The current owner had admired this Chris Craft 42 Commander at his Yacht Club in Montreal for a number of years and was totally in love with her grace, elegance and styling. When her original owner decided to find a new home for her in 1992, the current owner immediately purchased her. What he had in mind was to restore her to her original glory. What he ended up doing was to go way beyond just a refit and metamorphosed her into a magnificent beauty.
Zon Zon even grabbed the attention of Paul Pletcher, a renowned architect from the U.S., Zon Zon was the inspiration as well as the cover girl for Pletcher's 2011 book Restoration of the Fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. In his book, Mr. Pletcher referred to Zon Zon as stunning and of an exceptionally high standard, which is way into the multi-million dollar custom yacht category. (She) could dock at any high end yacht club in the world and be appreciated: Monaco, Hong Kong, Perth, Singapore, Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, etc. He also states that she is definitely in the top five Commander restorations that he has ever seen anywhere in the world at any cost.
She sports an amazing and flawless Carinthia Blue Awlgrip hull, new teak toe rails and gunwales, a walk-through transom double door, custom teak decking in the cockpit and on the custom extended swim platform, a beautiful teak interior and teak sliding entrance doors, custom restructured windows throughout, Yanmar 6LPA-STP Diesels, a Kohler 8 kW generator, 2 digitally-controlled reverse air units, full Garmin electronics, fully enclosed canvas on the flybridge and cockpit and much, much more. Please review her specifications for all of her glorious details.
If you are looking for one of the finest restored Chris Craft 42 Commanders in the world, we would be honoured to take you aboard this floating work of art.
