ACCOMMODATIONS
The look of this Grand Alaskan is classic. Her lines are traditional and her layout is functional yet spacious and comfortable. The Arthur Defever hull design matched with the beautiful interior styling make for a perfect home-sweet-home on the water.Stepping through the two aft doors from the aft deck is the salon. The updated Salon windows and two aft doors allow plenty of natural lighting and ventilation. Aft and Port settees allow for comfortable seating.
Moving forward from the salon, the galley features a breakfast bar/serving bar/work space. This beautiful granite countertop separates the galley from the salon. This design allows the galley to be included with the social activities in the salon.
Up forward and starboard of the salon is the pilothouse. Featuring an L shaped settee & table behind the helm which can also convert into a berth. Two side deck doors are located to port and starboard along with an aft sliding door for access to the upper deck.
Forward and down a spacious staircase from the pilothouse are the VIP and guest staterooms. There is a large guest head with separate shower stall located to starboard.
Up from the pilothouse is the Flybridge. There is plenty of seating for guests with storage underneath each seating location. A grill and bar set up allow for seamless entertainment.
The engine room is well lit and well thought out with room to move around and access to all systems. The engine room and lazarette can be accessed by the aft deck hatch or from a door in the master stateroom. Soundproofing through out the engine compartment makes for quiet boat underway.
The Portuguese Bridge and large flared bow forward allows for a clean work space on deck along with space for casual seating forward. Her spacious swim platform has steps that head up to the aft deck. A perfect tool for swimming, diving, snorkeling, kite boarding or simply just pulling up alongside with the tender. She has wide and functional walk around side decks and an aft deck large enough to bring your friends along. Her beautiful, varnished teak trim and cap rails add to her traditional feel. All varnished cap rails include custom covers.

Growing up in Harvard, Massachusetts, Liz’s first boating experience was sailing a Herreshoff 12 ½ out of Woods Hole, MA. She's been hooked on the ocean ever since. Liz is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marine affairs with a minor in environmental and natural resource economics. She was the president of the URI Sailing Club where she managed the school's fleet as well as the sailing facility itself. After college, she moved to Newport, RI where she raced 12 Meters and crewed for offshore deliveries. She then worked for Sailors for the Sea in Newport, an ocean conservation organization that engages, educates and activates the sailing and boating community toward restoring ocean health.
After this, she took a break from yachting and moved to Cordova, Alaska, a small and progressive fishing town southeast of Anchorage. There she worked in administration for the Prince William Sound Science Center where her responsibilities included event/conference planning, website management, field and lab studies, facilities management, bookkeeping and accounts payable. Additionally, Liz served as Secretary of the Sheridan Alpine Association for the Board of Directors and served on the Bluegrass Music Camp Board of Directors. During her time in Alaska, she enjoyed subsistence salmon fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing, glacier ice skating, and brewing beer with wild ingredients.
She then moved aboard a 38-foot (11.5m) sailboat and incorporated a rigging and electrical business, cruising and servicing sailboats and powerboats in Florida, The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and New England. Moving with the seasons brought Liz back up to Rhode Island where she entered the yacht brokerage world. She worked with Sparkman and Stephens and later came aboard with Northrop and Johnson in June of 2019. She is delighted to be a part of such a sophisticated and professional team of brokers worldwide with N&J.
