50 Years in the marine industry. 65 Years boating which started with my mom and dad and family boating in their Century, Chris Crafts, Hacker Crafts, Boston Whalers, Formulas, Sonics, Wellcrats, Bertram's Grand Banks, Tiaras, Pursuits, Tartan's, Swans, Folk Boats, and Lasers, to name a few. Literally the list of boats we have owned as a family exceeds 100. So I grew up in a boating family which has led to a passionate career in the marine industry.,
I started working in my early teens in a boat yard Barnhill Yard in Alameda Ca. A yard hand a then a bottom painter, then a carpenter, then a rigger, then a certified technician, then a salesman then a yacht broker. All through this progression of 50 years I have experience in both power and sail. I moved to Naples Florida in 1985. I founded and operated a successful family owned marine dealership, boat yard and service center in Naples for 27 years. During that ownership I encountered IMHO about every sales and service situation good and bad. Each one as a opportunity to keep the boating life style alive. I have been blessed to work with thousands of customers whether it has been there first or last boat in both purchasing and selling situations. And as I am a avid boat I have owned many boats of all types as well, I have sat on both sides of the closing desk. I understand the nuances and the emotion's and the business end of the deal. I would love to help you in your journey whether getting started or sadly ending. Give a call and we can just talk.
