About
Broker's Notes: 2017 Boston Whaler 285 Conquest
Introduced in 2011, the new Boston Whaler 285 Conquest is an updated version of the original 285 Conquest built from 2006 through 2010. Principal changes include an integrated windshield/hardtop design, improved helm visibility, and enhanced cockpit and cabin storage. With a wide 9'6" beam, the Conquest’s cockpit is large enough for fishing, entertaining, or cruising. In the center deck of the cockpit, near the transom, is a mechanical room housing the batteries and various pumps. Standard features include an anchor locker, windlass two in-deck fish boxes, cockpit bolsters, transom livewell, tackle storage, raw-water washdown, cockpit shower, rod holders (11), cockpit rod storage, power windshield vent, cockpit floodlight, convertible port seat/lounge, foldaway stern seat, bait prep center with sink, and numerous drink holders. Below, the Conquest’s well-finished interior sleeps four and includes a convertible V-berth/dinette forward, mid-cabin berth aft, compact galley with microwave, and an enclosed head with shower.

I have spent most of my life on and around boats beginning as a young child, learning to sail Sunfish and Hobie Cats, driving on my Dad’s lap in a classic mahogany lake boat, and cruising the Jersey shore with my parents and brothers aboard our 36ft Chris Craft. After moving to New England I continued to seek the boating life with my own family and owned a variety of sail and power boats that brought me cherished times with friends and family.
Drawing on my experiences over the past 25 years developing and selling theme park and water park attractions across the globe as well as my background as a Psychologist, I decided to pursue my lifelong passion to work in the marine industry. Being a customer of Brewer Yacht Sales over the years, I have seen the professionalism and quality of the team and am happy to join them as a broker.
In addition to being an avid and experienced boater, I am a careful listener and an astute negotiator- both skills that I look forward to putting to work to help my clients find and secure the perfect boat for their needs and lifestyle, or sell when it comes time.
