Thomas Price was born and raised in Hobe Sound, FL and was introduced to boating in his childhood. His family owned boats, and his father was a Marine Surveyor, so Thomas became familiar with yacht systems at a young age. He grew up traveling to the Bahamas and fishing off the coast of Florida on various boats which gave him a great starting point to develop extensive knowledge in the industry.
Thomas attended the University of North Florida and received two degrees, one in International Business and the other in Marketing. From freshmen year until he graduated, he worked with Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group as the Maintenance Manager on new build Bertram and Tiara yachts which were for sale in the NE region of Florida.
Once he finished school he moved back to South Florida and started a yacht management company which led him to join a world cruising Yacht/Sportfish program as a mate and later, a sportfish captain. During these four years he traveled over 10,000nm a year and to over 50 countries. Thomas has fished in some of the most desolate and desired fishing grounds in the world, including the Caribbean, Panama, Costa Rica, French Polynesia, Tonga, Australia, Asia, Alaska, and Mexico. He has completed 2 Atlantic Crossings and 2 Pacific Crossings as well as 5 Panama Canal Transits.
After cruising the world, he worked on other programs around fishing and has been on boats ranging from 30’-150’ as Captain and Engineer. He currently holds a USCG 200 ton Master License. For the past four years he has Captained a fishing program that included a 100’ yacht, 41’ Bahama, and a 43’ Freeman in Florida and the Bahamas.
In his spare time he loves to fish, surf, spearfish, and travel with his wife and son.
He is well versed in world traveling yacht programs, and has extensive experience with various types and makes of sportfish yachts. With his 20 years of yachting experience, plus his background in business, Thomas is confident that he can help you find the right boat for your next adventure. He looks forward to helping every client to the best of his ability in either the sale or purchase of their next boat. Please feel free to reach out anytime for assistance.
