The 340 Express Cruiser proved to be one of Sea Ray’s most popular models during the 1980s. A big boat by the standards of her day, the 340’s spacious interior were her chief attributes. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with prop pockets and a wide 12-foot beam, three floorplans were offered during her production years, all with the forward stateroom open to the main cabin. The original layout was arranged with the dinette to starboard and a small galley and settee to port. In 1986 Sea Ray came out with a more functional interior featuring a big U-shaped galley as well as a reconfigured dinette. Finally, in 1998 the island berth in the bow stateroom was replaced with a full-width bed and (optional) built-in entertainment center.
Topside, the 340’s single-level cockpit included double-wide helm and companion seats and a removable bench seat at the transom. Large hatches in the cockpit floor provide good access to the engines. A radar arch, transom door, side exhausts, and swim platform were standard. Among several engine options, 340hp MerCruiser gas inboards cruise in the low 20s (30+ top).

Mad dogs and Englishmen…….well it’s not always out in the midday sun, but whatever the weather, Larry will be there helping buyers and sellers with their boats. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these brokers from helping boat buyers and sellers regardless of the weather. Larry says “We are all available 7 days a week 12 months of the year, and while many feel the cold New England weather keeps buyers and sellers out of the market, we are always busy”. Larry is one of the company founders and hails from Rhode Island, even though his roots are thousands of miles away in Merry Olde England.
Larry has sailed across the Atlantic from South to North (Las Palmas to Southampton surviving 100' seas and 100 mph winds), From Southampton into the Mediterranean, the French and Spanish Coast, across the Atlantic from East to West (Monaco to New York), and the East Coast of the USA (Maine to Miami) multiple times, as well as racing a variety of sailboats in the CT and RI area.
