Joe grew up on the water in Michigan fishing, sailing, skiing, building, and working on boats. This desire to be on the water led his career straight into the marine business, becoming a successful, experienced yacht broker, USCG licensed captain, fishing guide, and tournament angler.
In 2004, Joe moved south to the NE Florida coast, where he fell in love with the southern lifestyle, offshore fishing, and inspiring boat business. A few months after the move, Joe took over one of the five branch sales offices at a large marine dealership in St. Augustine.
In 2010, Joe moved further South and landed in the Tampa Bay area, where he started a marine charter business, all while focusing on new and used brokerage sales. Before joining Galati Yachts, Joe was a leader of a statewide yacht brokerage, managing team members on both coasts.
When not on the water for business, Joe and his family are usually on the water for pleasure. Joe and his wife Nicole love raising their daughter and their black lab retrievers aboard their 46’ Hatteras convertible docked in Clearwater.
Drawing on his past experiences of owning, operating, and overhauling numerous styles of boats in different areas of the country and the Bahamas, Joe shares a specific knowledge-based and personalized approach to dial into the precise needs of his clients.
With 30 years of boating experience, and nearly two decades of successful boat/yacht sales, Joe is passionate about sharing his expert services, knowledge, and connections to help you sell or buy your next vessel.
