Vessel Walkthrough
The Catalina MK II has an incredibly spacious cockpit with voluminous interior. her nearly 14' wide beam (13' 10") is carried far aft providing ample room for her two private aft staterooms, each with queen berths under the cockpit. From the Cockpit, you enter the companionway through a pair of custom varnished hinged teak hatch doors. The Teak trimmed molded stairs hinge to provide easy access to the engine room. The interior has high gloss teak and holly sole and satin varnished teak cabinetry that is beautifully maintained. Because she has been Air conditioned & dehumidified, she shows very well with no odors or blemishes.
Aft of the companionway on either side are teak doors leading to the two private, air conditioned aft staterooms with varnished teak hull liner. Each stateroom has an opening port under hinged cockpit seats, a fixed port outboard, queen berth, dressing seat, cedar lined hanging locker with storage below and a shelf outboard of each berth.
To Starboard of the companionway is the guest head w/ fresh water plumbed electric head, vanity, sink & pull out faucet and shower. Opposite to port is the chart table with storage over and under. The AC/DC electrical panels are conveniently located above the nav station along with the TankWatch, electrical system monitoring displays with onboard navigation electronics.
Forward of the nav station is the u-shaped dinette with storage cabinets outboard, a varnished teak table that drops and converts to a double berth. There is a fixed bench seat with storage drawers underneath that is accessible from the galley. Opposite to starboard at mid-ship is the galley with refrigerator/freezer, built in microwave, 3 burner propane stove w/ oven, double SS sinks, more than ample storage cabinets, drawers & countertop space.
Forward though the Solid teak door is the master suite, equipped with a queen berth to port w/ storage outboard as well as under. To starboard, there is a cedar lined hanging locker, dressing seat with a cabinet outboard and drawer below. Forward is a bank of 5 large drawers. Through a sliding solid teak door forward is the master head with fresh water electric head, vanity and sink as well as separate shower stall in the forepeak. Forward of the shower stall is a hinged access door providing entry to the anchor locker & electrical systems under the deck.

David likes to joke that he was born on the water and was sailing before he could walk. There may be some proof to that as his father and business partner Lee has circulated photos around the office of David single handing the families “sailing dinghy” at a very young age.
As a youngster, he became a successful sailor at the Thames Yacht Club (TYC) in New London, Ct. As a member of the TYC’s competitive sailing team racing Lasers, Blue Jays & 420’s. Through the years, he’s competed in countless one-design regattas, Block Island Race week, Off Soundings and even competed in 420 Nationals, where some of the most feverish competition was always expected.
During the “summer season” David could always be found somewhere on the water running boats all over New England, fishing, sailing, diving. At the young age of 15, David and his father Lee sailed the families J30 from New England to the West Coast of Florida where they set roots.
After spending the better part of two decades in various Executive Management & Sales positions in the mortgage lending/servicing and Default Asset Management space. Most recently serving as VP of Operations/Vendor Management for a National Default Asset Management Company and previously serving as the C.O.O. of a national asset disposition firm managing R.E.O. Properties for the nation’s largest financial institutions. David decided it was time to return to his passion of the marine industry.
With nearly 10 years of brokerage experience with some of Florida’s premier Yacht Sales Organizations, where he created the marketing and on-site display at Marina Jack, serving as the Edgewater Boats Product Line Manager. David also assisted with the Vicem & Marquis lines. David & Lee decided it was time to build their own brand and formed Professional Yacht Sales International in September of 2018.
David’s vast knowledge of both power and sailboaters’ needs gives our clients a comfort level that their best interests and Professional Representation are his primary concern. Regardless of which side of the transaction (buyer/seller/both) he is on, David brings his lifetime of experiences to every client relationship always putting the client’s needs first.
When he is not working (which is rarely) he is an avid boater, scuba diver & fisherman competing in local fishing tournaments.
