INTRODUCTION
WELCOME is a well-loved (first time offered by her original owner) well cared for (professionally maintained and stored indoors by Parkers Boat Yard since new) and well optioned (with recent upgrades including electronics and North Sails) member of her class. With low hours on her engine and saildrive she is now in the water in full commission and ready for summer! The new boat on order is about to arrive, so WELCOME is SERIOUSLY for sale and available for immediate delivery. We invite your inquiry.
Alerion 33s are exceptional boats to sail, with a light and well-balanced helm with spade rudder that provides true “fingertip” control both under sail and when maneuvering around the dock. These are stiff boats and may be sailed without the need to reef, up to 20+ knots true wind speed. In a puff you literally feel the boat accelerate forward, rather than heel over with too much windward helm. Really a homerun of a design and a true improvement on the incredibly successful Alerion 28. The 33s are equally as “sweet” to the eye with a nifty interior and present incredible value in today’s market. Self-tacking with control lines led right to the helm. This is a boat that may be easily single-handed yet has a big comfortable cockpit with room aplenty for friends and family. Bravo!
HULL
Topside Awlgrip MAHOGANY with inset gold cove stripe and white single boot stripe with black bottom paint. Decks with contrasting Moondust nonskid. Gel coat surfaces are White. Cockpit sole laid teak.
Spade rudder. Performance winged keel with lead bulb. Composite hull built with SCRIMP infusion process. Foam cored topsides and deck.
COCKPIT
The cockpit on the Alerion 33 is second to none with plenty of comfortable seating for guests and helmsperson alike. All control lines are led aft to the helm so that the mainsail may be raised and lowered by the skipper. Comfortable seat cushions and backrests on WELCOME are a nice touch.
