Accommodations
The 2001 Nordic Tug 32 has extensive exterior deck space, including a cockpit and a spacious deck above the cabin with bimini. The interior can be accessed by stepping into the salon from the cockpit or into the wheelhouse through either side deck door.
The cabin layout includes:
Forward cabin
A double pullman berth on the starboard side with storage underneath, two large storage cabinets, and a hanging locker to port. There is also an upholstered seat on the port side, forward access to the chain locker, and an overhead hatch.
Aft and to starboard is a bath with integrated shower stall. The vacuflush toilet has a macerator.
Aft of the stateroom and up a couple steps is the raised wheel house, with side deck doors on either side for easy access to fenders and dock lines for moorage on either port or starboard. The wheel house has a large double seat, with footrest. The helm permits easy viewing in all directions and easy access to all controls. Under the wheelhouse sole is the mechanical space with 220 hp Cummins diesel, generator and other mechanical and electrical systems.
Aft and down a couple steps is the spacious salon & galley. On the starboard side is an L shaped settee with storage below running the full length of the salon. Settee converts to double berth.
The galley counters are L shaped and run the entire length of the port side salon. On the aft end is the electric / alcohol stove with wood cutting board cover and convection microwave oven under and stainless sink with hot & cold water, also with wood cutting board cover. Galley includes under-counter fridge and separate freezer.
Hull & Deck
Like all Nordic Tugs she features a semi-displacement hull with hard chine for greater speed and sea keeping qualities. She is designed with a fine entry bow for a quiet ride and better fuel efficiency and is built with pride in the USA. The spacious cockpit has a transom door for easy access to the transom and davits.
All three doors are heavy duty and close tightly and open easily. All three have insect screens.

Broker's Comments
The Nordic Tug 32 is the perfect yacht for the cruising couple, yet she sleeps 2 couples easily and comfortably. She handles like a dream and is ideal for tucking into shallow coves and small intimate docks. Don’t let her size fool you because she has every amenity and is as tough and seaworthy as her larger siblings. The Nordic Tugs are ‘cult classic’ trawlers. Their rugged construction and proven reputation for safety and economy are legendary. The Cummins 6 cylinder diesel is a workhorse. There are thousands of these engines in trucks and vessels throughout the world. Parts and service expertise are broadly available.
‘SS Minnow’ is an exceptional example of the Nordic Tug 32. This boat has been well maintained and upgraded by her long term owners.
Key features include:
- Cummins 220 w/1710 hours (recent service)
- Side Power bow thruster
- Full air conditioning
- Northern Lights 5.5kw generator (Extensive recent service)
- Heart 1kw inverter / charger
- Three new batteries in July 2024.
- Autopilot does not work. It is believed that it needs a new head unit in the wheelhouse.
The boat has been well cared for, stored on a lift since purchased in 2010. This is a clean boat (freshly detailed interior, including steam cleaning of all carpets and upholstery) and it starts & runs great. The owner has changed engine fluids every year. The boat just had a successful sea trial in which she performed flawlessly. It could benefit from a buff job, but other than that, it’s believed ready to do your Great Loop or be positioned to the Bahamas for your floating vacation home.
