Accomodations
- First off, it is pleasing to see all the beautiful and warm woodwork and craftmanship below deck. She feels much like a vessel of early days with solid wood and not the laminate or veneer one sees in todays vessels. She is a true yacht with lovely cabinetry and leaded glass features. She has proven herself and crossed many ocean miles thru the years with her original owner. This is the perfect live-aboard for a couple or small family looking to sail the ocean or simply go down island for a spell.
- Starting forward is the Master Stateroom; Large centerline berth is surrounded by rich wood ceiling strips, shelves and lockers. Private access to the Master head is aft to port and additional lockers are to starboard. There is plenty of light provided by multiple overhead hatches and port lights. The Master Head has a separate shower stall, vanity and toilet. Ventilation is provided by opening ports and an overhead hatch.
- Moving aft one enters the Main Salon. I think anyone would be taken back by the shear volume of this space. Again you are surrounded by the lovely woodwork, outboard shelves and lockers. Leaded glass cabinet forward serves as a liquor cabinet. To port is a large U-shaped dinette with fixed table and to starboard are two chairs with small table in between. As open as this space is, one could have chairs on the inboard side of the dinette for additional seating if seating 6 is not enough.
- Aft of the chairs is the refrigeration followed by the full galley. The galley tucks under the forward end of the cockpit and does not take away from the salon, yet has everything one could want for extended cruising.
- Aft of the dinette is the Aft facing Navigation station followed by the guest Stateroom. Here again is a very comfortable stateroom with large queen berth, hanging locker and its own private head.
- There is excellent access to the engine compartment from the galley, the aft stateroom as well as under the companionway steps. Batteries are at the foot of the steps and under the aft berth. There is a gas heater in the salon but the owner never had a need for air-conditioning with all her multiple hatches and opening ports.
Galley
She is equipped with a long galley that has lockers outboard, storage under as well as plenty of counter space for food prep. It is light and bright with multiple opening ports and an overhead hatch.

The water has always been a part of my life since learning to sail aboard a Sailfish while vacationing in Chatham, Massachusetts. At twelve, I graduated to Penguins and 420’s at the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland. My parents always belonged to the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia and I often accompanied them on cruises aboard a Hinckley Bermuda 40 that we cruised in the Chesapeake.
Understanding banking after working 12 years for Loyola Savings and Loan of Maryland, I helped navigate the purchase of a 32’ Pearson Vanguard for a friend and taught him to sail. Loving the idea of sharing my passion for boating, I joined Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales (in what is now Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and Marina) in 1990 and worked as a broker and office manager for 25 years.
In 1993, Oxford Boatyard Yacht Sales became a dealer for Sabre and Back Cove Motor Yachts and I acquired an understanding and respect for powerboats. I worked closely with the boatyard commissioning new vessels and working as a liaison between new owners and the marina. I have an intimate understanding of the boat buying process - how to guide new owners through surveys, sea trials, registration, and documentation.
I love all boats and each one has its own quality. Though I would consider myself a traditionalist in boat design, I like what the new designs offer in comfort and ability.
My husband (of 30 years) and I live in Easton, Maryland. My husband is the rigging supervisor at Safe Harbor Oxford Boatyard and our daughter, having graduated from Washington College in 2020, is now teaching English as well as coaching the sailing team at the Gunston School in Centreville, Md. She has recently come on board as the Summer Sailing Director with the Tred Avon Yacht Club.
I am starting my 7th year as a broker with Brewer Yacht Sales and in addition to my office at Safe Harbor Zahniser’s in Solomon’s, Maryland I now have an office at Safe Harbor Oxford. This enables me to cover the territory from the Eastern Shore to Solomon’s Island and everything in between.
I look forward to speaking with you and sharing my passion for boats. Let me help you find the perfect yacht or support and guide you in the sale of your existing vessel!
