WALK-THROUGH
The Endeavour 40 is a very accommodating 40' cruising boat. She was designed by the famous navel architect Bob Johnson before he started his own company.
When entering descending below you are greeted by a large open salon/ galley/ nav area. There has been an extensive use of teak throughout the entire yacht creating both warmth and old world character.
At the salon has a long bench settee to both port and starboard with a large drop leaf table in the center with 3 draws at the aft end of the table and top load space as well.. Storage in this area is provided by both draws beneath the settees and teak doored cabinets above the settees and more behind the cushions. Natural ventilation is provided by 5 large opening ports and two larger overhead hatches.
On the port side of the companionway is a large deep U-shaped galley with an abundance of storage including both open cabinets for daily used items as well as many cabinets both above the counter and below with teak doors as well as several silverware drawers. A large top load refrigerator is located at the aft end of the galley for cold food storage and cooking is provided on a three burner propane stove and oven. For clean-up there is a very large double bowl stainless steel sink.
To starboard of the companionway is the nav station. This area contains a large nav table with storage under the desk top, draws on the inboard side as well as dedicated roll chart storage. The electric panel is located to the inboard side for the passageway to the aft cabin but accessible from the nav station.
Moving aft through the passageway on the outboard side are large lockers and on the inboard side are a pair of large doors providing easy access to the engine compartment.
Entering the aft cabin you are greeted by a beautifully appointed owners cabin with its own private head. There is an abundance of storage as well as four opening ports and a large over head hatch for natural ventilation. The head area is large and finish in white with teak trim and another opening port.
Going back through the salon located on the starboard side is the guest/ day use head. This area is again finish in white with teak trim, containing a sink and vanity, toilet and shower and a second door providing private access from the forward cabin.
In the guest cabin is a more common layout containing a v-berth, with storage lockers on the port side and private access door to the head on starboard. Hull sides are white with teak battens providing a very traditional look.

Welcome to my little part of the marine industry. Let’s see how I may be of help to you. My name is John Heffner (Jack) and I have been in the marine industry since 1984 when I moved to Rock Hall, Maryland, to work for Gratitude Yachting Center. I entered the boating industry after leaving a career in HVAC, plumbing and electrical design with a consulting engineering firm in Pennsylvania. I joined the staff at Gratitude Yachting Center working as a rigger and systems installer for 10 years. I became a partner and have worked in most aspects of the business from installer, service manager, sales of both new and used boats, and the liaison with several of the boat manufacturers that we sold. For the past 40 years, I have been around and understand the characteristics and construction of many types of boats and have worked with builders of boats from England, Finland, France, Spain and the United States.
