Description
S/V Loon is a Kanter Atlantic 45 semi-custom pilothouse cutter designed by renowned yacht designer Ted Brewer and built by Kanter Yachts in St. Thomas, Ontario Canada. Built of steel and only used seasonally here in the fresh clear waters of Lake Superior it's been very well cared for. Loon has had only 2 owners since new. Following delivery from the builder on Lake Ontario it has been maintained and winter stored at Madeline Island Yacht Club, La Pointe, WI under the direction of the same Captain/Boat-keeper.
Loon's robust steel construction and all-weather protection provided by the pilothouse and the cutter rig make it a capable and managable expedition vessel. The fin keel provides good sailing performance and maneuverability along with the security of a skeg hung rudder.
