Overview and Walkthrough
The 38' Rampage is a USA-built express style sportfishing boat which features a centerline helm with upright electronics panel and a free-standing teak ladderback captain's chair. RAHITI is an original owner boat which has been well cared for with updated Garmin electronics and light usage. There is an effective Helm deck A/C and a near new 4-side isinglass enclosure. To the starboard side of the captain is a second helm chair mounted on a cabinet with an opening door to a drink ice machine and two tackle drawers forward. Just behind is a rigging table with cabinet below plus 3 tackle drawers. To the portside is and L-shape lounge which beneath houses the self-contained A/C unit. The forward end section of this lounge has a neat feature where it can pull out and turn to face forward, effectively making a 3rd helm seat. Just ahead of this portside seat is a chart table area with an opening top storage area and a safety grab rail on the facing console. The white aluminum wrap-around windscreen has 3 forward windshield wipers and an electric opening lower center ventilation section. The underside of the hardtop has lighting and two U-shaped safety grabrails.
The Cockpit has non-skid deck with two large underdeck, removable fishboxes. To either side are cockpit coaming pads and aft is a large molded live bait well with hinged lids. To the starboard side is a walk-through transom door and gate. In the center is a Scopinich teak rocket launcher. On either side forward corners of the cockpit are molded steps to make access the side decks easy (storage beneath them) and there is fresh and saltwater washdown hoses as well. The tackle center has two refrigerated/freezer boxes, one to either end. In the center section is a bait rigging station and sink with cabinet and four large tackle drawers below. There are six rod holders mounted on the aft tower truss and two more on each aft tower leg. The entire bridge deck has two electric lift-rams and can be raised to give great engine compartment access. For quicker engine room checks there is a smaller hinged hatch in the center of the helm deck floor.
Climb up the starboard side tower leg/ladder to the upper helm based on the hardtop and easily accessed with an open side and an extra grab railing. The upper helm has an arch-style hardtop shade and a center-mounted, free-standing, cushioned captain's chair with footrest. Behind is a large L-shape seating bench cushion with backrest. This is unique for a tower station as you could comfortably seat three additional people here as well as the captain. The tower control box has a full function Garmin screen as well as an Autopilot control, Vhf command mic, trim tabs, start/stops, and spotlight control. The radar open-array scanner and GPS antennas are mounted on top of the buggy top. Aft of the bench seat backrest there are 5 more rod holders and the double spreader outriggers are also laid out from this station and also have collapsable back bars to lower their air-draft. The remote-controlled spotlight is mounted centerline on the forward edge of the hardtop. Also mounted to the sides of the hardtop, two Vhf radio antennas which have pivot mounts and can be lowered for clearance when needed.
A quick run to the foredeck there is an aluminum bow rail and a molded fiberglass pulpit with a Maxwell self-tailing electric windlass and foot pedal control switches. Top opening access hatch to rode storage locker. The windlass can also be operated from the helm.
Back to the helm deck, the entrance to the cabin is via a 2-part Lexan door that slides back on top and the lower door folds to the side. The cabin is fitted with attractive semi-gloss finished Cherry wood cabinets, doors, and panels. There is a stateroom forward with a double freeform berth and to portside is a J-shaped dinette which can be converted to a 2nd berth. As you enter down three steps to the laminate teak and holly sole, the Galley is immediately to your right side with Corian countertop, 2-burner stovetop, rectangular under-mounted sink with brushed nickel faucet. Above there three cabinets and beneath them are countertop lights. Below are three more cabinets and forward above the sink is a flush mounted Convection/Microwave oven. Next forward around the corner is an AC/DC Dometic refrigerator with freezer compartment and flush mounted just above it is a Sharp Aquos flat panel TV. There is a Panasonic DVD player on top of the cabinet. Across to the portside of the cabin entry door are 3 doors with storage cabinets followed by the J-shaped lounge seating with a rectangular cherrywood dinette table. Aft of this seating on a cherry panel bulkhead are some fishing rod storage racks with cove lighting above and outboard of the lounge. Above are doors covering the main electrical breaker and switching panel. Also, here towards center aft are the AC thermostat and CO2 alarm. Outboard and above the dinette, natural light comes in from 2 opening portlights which are on the forward deckhouse and when needed there are mini blinds to shade them. There is a Clarion Marine Stereo.
Next forward to the portside is the entry door to the Head compartment which has a Corian vanity top and oval sink and nickel faucet matching to those in the galley. There is a freshwater Tecma toilet and a separate shower stall with molded seat inside and sliding smoked Lexan enclosure. Above the sink is a mirror and cabinet, the ceiling has an opening deck hatch with retractable screen/shade.
Moving forward is the Stateroom which has a cedar wood lined hanging locker by the entryway to the starboard side. At the base of this locker is a small, cushioned seat for clothes changing and next to it inboard are two large drawers beneath the berth. Natural light enters this area thru two overhead deck hatches. One smaller hatch is just above the hanging locker and the other is centerline forward above the berth, both have retractable screen/shades. This berth has a thick and comfortable mattress with an attractive quilt geometric patterned bedspread and several decor pillows. On the starboard side aft bulkhead of the stateroom is an adjustable mounted Visio LED flat panel Smart TV (40-inch?) and a BluRay disc player. There is a Corian shelf on the starboard side of this area with a cherry wood fiddle railing. On the port side of this area are three cherry wood cabinets and one more drawer. The forward bulkhead has a framed smoked mirror with adjustable reading lights to either side. There are also some additional fishing rod hanging storage on the starboard hull wall lining.
