Description
The Sun Odyssey 44 DS is a remarkably comfortable cruiser with a surprising turn of speed. Sail short-handed with ease and enjoy the exceptional cruising amenities this boat provides.
Freedom was lightly used under previous ownership and sat out the 2020 season due to Covid. She wasn't really used as a sailing yacht until 2021, under new ownership. Since then, she's enjoyed seasonal use in New England, has received excellent care by an experienced owner, and is tucked away each winter under her new custom canvas cover.
Freedom is loaded with factory options as well as some recent updates. Key features include:
- Preferred 3-cabin, 2-head layout
- Shoal keel
- In-mast furling mainsail and 106% furling jib
- Code-0 sail on a continuous line furler
- Electric primary and halyard winches
- Bow thruster
- Extra water tank
- Low-hour Yanmar diesel
Added Since 2021:
- New radar
- New batteries
- ATN Gale Sail
- Custom Fairclough canvas cover
- Kato outboard motor hoist
Freedom represents a terrific opportunity to purchase what amounts to a nearly new, updated boat at a used boat price.
