1990 Hylas 51' (15.54 m)
Grenada
4Knots, a 1990 Hylas 51ft, is a true sailing vessel. She is fast and exceptionally well behaved under sail, as well as stable and comfortable at anchor. Her center cockpit provides comfort and safety. The side decks are wide, providing for easy unrestricted access to the foredeck and coach roof while underway. She is safe and has proven excellent sailing performance. She is outfitted to cruise around the world. With 1305 total watts of solar, she has enough power to run the boat with a family of 4 including running 12 volt water maker, all on solar! She also has a 7.6 kw generator used for the washing machine and to top off the batteries on cloudy days. In 2021, the Yanmar 76 HP Turbo Diesel was rebuilt. The rebuild was done at 3,800 hours, which means there are only 461 hours on the rebuilt engine! It was a complete rebuild - everything but the block was serviced or replaced. All pumps, turbo, mixing elbow, starter, alternator, injectors, etc. - all new. Also, the head was rebuilt and a new head gasket was installed. They work was done by a professional diesel mechanic. The German Frers designed hull must be one of the best compromises when it comes to cruising hull design. Very comfortable for long distances, yet impressively performant for a displacement hull. The TMC brokerage office in Grenada is conveniently located in the deep harbor of Prickly Bay. In addition to the yacht services offered, there is easy access to haul out yards, marine stores, public transportation, restaurants, entertainment and beaches! We can assist clients with a full scope of services from repairs to haul out, and of course, brokerage, all operated by Broker Chris Rundlett and his partner Chrystal Young. Mooring balls and guardianage are also available exclusively to our TMC sellers!
Chris Rundlett began sailing from a very young age and started his career in the marine industry by moving from the Pacific Northwest to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and opening his business, LTD Sailing School, in 2008. As the years passed and his business grew, he found that the perfect way to do so would be through a relocation to the burgeoning island of Grenada.
After working several years on the island and through a chance encounter with TMC Founder Phil Berman, Chris began working with TMC as Phil believed Chris possessed all the necessary characteristics and abilities to become an excellent broker: Hard-working, highly ethical, and always willing to put the customer’s needs ahead of his own.
Chrystal started sailing with Chris in 2004 on Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho on a 35′ Hunter “Gabiano”. Their five-year plan to quit the rat race and start living the dream took a few more years but, in 2013, they sold everything they owned, moved to the Caribbean and launched LTD Sailing School. As owners of the LTD Sailing School, Chris and Chrystal offer a wealth of services, ranging from sailing lessons and service to yacht management! In addition to brokering and providing services through LTD, Chrystal is also the “Voice of Grenada” on Channel 66 International every Friday morning at 7:30 am.
Located on the Southwest side of the island in the Lance Aux Espines neighborhood at Prickly Bay Marina at 12.00 North, 61, 45 West, The TMC offices are nestled safely outside the hurricane belt. Make sure to tune in to Chrystal for all the latest news and stop by next time you are in town, we’d love to see you!
To contact Chris, you can reach him by email at Chris@multihullcompany.com or by phone at offices in Prickly Bay at 1-473-440-1668, or on his cell phone at 1-786-450-7163. To contact Chrystal, she can be reached by email at Chrystal@multihullcompany.com or by phone on her cell phone at 473-406-3017

Chris Rundlett’s first sailing adventure was on a small Sunfish owned by the U.S. Coast Guard where his father was stationed in North Dakota. There was plenty of wind – but not much water! Since then he dreamed of bigger horizons and sailed whenever he had the chance. Chris is a true son of a sailor. Chris started his maritime career teaching USCG Captains Licensing courses in the Pacific Northwest. This lead to teaching sailing in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. In 2008, Chris started working with a sailing school in the Caribbean – St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He enjoyed sailing in these exquisite waters so much, he decided to stay.
In 2013, Chris started the premier American Sailing Association affiliate school in the Caribbean, LTD Sailing – “Living the Dream!”, with his partner Chrystal Young. They have now opened a second location in the Grenadines at the Port Louis Marina, Grenada partnering with The Multihull Company and Five Oceans Marine Group. Chris and Chrystal found that many of their sailing school students were interested in buying boats – making this a natural partnership. Grenada is a great cruising destination with its southerly latitude, excellent marine services and active cruising community. Please call Chris or Chrystal if you would like to discuss the advantages of buying or selling your yacht in the Caribbean. Stop by the office at Prickly Bay Marina to say ‘Hi’ next time you are in Grenada!
