Description
Sailfish Boats have gained a great reputation among center consoles for their superior fit and finish, well built hulls, and all around great layouts to meet the needs of someone looking for a fishing boat that also is a very family friendly boat.
This 2022 24’ Sailfish 242 checks all of the boxes and is powered with twin Mercury 150hp outboard engines that have 131 hours on them. The twin engine package gives you piece of mind when you go offshore that you likely will always have an engine to get you home in the event of a motor issue. The hull is a beautiful Iced Slate Grey. The removable table with the bow seating around it and the seating in the aft of the boat makes this a very fun boat for family and friend boating occasions. On the fishing side of things, this boat has plenty of rod holders, a tackle center, a bait well in the transom, and the windlass makes anchoring and anchor retrieval easy whether you plan to anchor over a wreck for fishing or anchor for some water activities for the day.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The 242CC was designed and built for extreme offshore anglers. The 242CC utilizes our exclusive Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull to give you the best performing ride while also being the most fuel-efficient hull in its class. The updated helm facing offers more space to accommodate larger flush mount electronics. The larger console headspace makes this a fishing focused and family friendly machine. With the standard 30-gallon transom livewell, fishermen will be able to carry enough bait to give an edge on the competition. Plenty of rod holders, rod storage, tackle storage and toe-rails makes the Sailfish 242CC a total fishing machine. Add in comfortable deep bow seating, a walk-through transom door, a removable bow table, a telescoping ski-tow bar and eleven cup holders, the 242CC can easily transform into a family focused day on the water too.

Ricky Wheeler has spent his entire life being drawn to the water. After graduating from the University of Delaware, he had every intention of going back to get his Master’s Degree, but he decided to take a year off and take a full time sportfishing job as a First Mate before doing so. Well, he never looked back.
Ricky has spent his entire adult life and professional career as a Professional Sportfishing Captain. Having obtained his Captain’s License immediately after college, he has since accrued more hours on the water than most could dream, spending his time on numerous different boats and yachts (private and charter) successfully chasing fish in more countries than you can count on both hands and consistently winning fishing tournaments. Along with the tournament wins, Ricky has also set 16 IGFA Line Class World Records as a Captain. Aside from the fishing, he has also been a business owner of a successful tackle business for 7 years which he has sold in 2021.
In 2019, after having had his own charter fishing business for 4 years, Ricky decided it was time to get a sportfishing yacht of his own to continue his business on his own terms. All of 2019 was spent entirely retrofitting his 60’ Custom Sportfishing yacht to prepare it to fish and travel hard for the years to come. Ricky, with help, did all of the work himself throughout the process, and is still running trips on his yacht named EUPHORIA today. Along with starting this venture, Ricky has been a consultant for boat builds and retrofits such as Sportfishing Yacht mezzanines, and he also started a podcast called “The Saltwater Euphoria Podcast” to help others in the sportfishing industry get their name out there and also to help anyone willing to learn more about fishing, boating, and boat building to learn from each other via this podcast.
Ricky’s time spent gaining such vast knowledge between operating, maintaining, repairing, and retrofitting so many different kinds of vessels throughout his career makes him a perfect person to help you buy or sell your boat. Due to his experience, he is well versed in every aspect of boats, the maintaining of vessels, sportfishing, traveling by boat, and enjoying your time on the water safely every chance you can.
Ricky is beyond passionate about everything that has to do with boating and fishing, and the proof is in the fact that he himself does it year after year and loves nothing more then getting people on the water aboard his boat, EUPHORIA.
His wish is to help you achieve your dream of getting the perfect boat for yourself to enjoy the salt, sun, and fishing as well, and for those looking to sell their boat to make sure he helps you find that person looking to make your boat exactly that for them guiding you every step of the way.
