Description
EUPHORIA is a beautiful 60’ Custom Sportfish. She is a cold molded hull which provides a soft and comfortable ride that people have come to love in a boat and is designed by the well-known marine architect, Donald Blount. She was built to be fast, efficient, and ride like a dream. A true fishing machine that was built before her time! If it’s a cold molded custom boat with the speed, the ride, and the sea keeping ability for fishing anywhere in the world, this is the boat for you.
EUPHORIA is an excellent travel boat as she has everything you need to be out on the water for days on end with plenty of comfort which has been proven many times over by its current owner. This boat has an amazing range of 800+ nautical miles at “chug speed” and 400 miles at “cruise speed”. She holds a total of 1,365 gallons of diesel between two tanks which allow for that range. Also a large water tank that can be replenished anytime via the watermaker on board means all you need is diesel fuel and you are self-sufficient.
EUPHORIA is powered by CAT 3412C Engines with 3000 hours on them since her top to bottom major overhaul, and maintenance consistently done, she has a lot of hours left to give to her new owner. This package allows this vessel to cruise at 30-35 knots (70% load is 32-33 knots) with a WOT speed of 40+ knots. She also has 2 Kohler generators that each run all systems by themselves. Starboard reportedly has 1,550 hours and Port has 2,600 hours, meaning both are just getting going.
The interior has all of the comforts you need for weeks on the water. A spacious salon with an L-Shaped settee, a dinette that easily seats 4, galley with Sub-Zero fridge and freezers and a 2-Burner cooktop, microwave, and plenty of pantry storage. Downstairs are your 3 berths (1 bunk room and 2 staterooms) along with a washer/dryer and 2 full heads.
She has taken on a long list of upgrades over her past 5 years under this owner, and truly too much to mention. This yacht is a must see and run to experience the full scope.

About
60 Custom Carolina Precision Sportfish 2000
EUPHORIA features a classic Carolina cold-molded hull designed by famed naval architect, Donald L. Blount (1935-2022), recognized worldwide for his expertise in high-speed craft hydrodynamics. In the style typical of Custom Carolina sportfish boats, she is designed with a sharp deep-Vee entry and high flared bow that gracefully sheers to the break at the cockpit. The 3/2 accommodations layout below deck and interior living areas are classically elegant with the traditional book-matched wood and granite crafted with impeccable fit and finish for comfortable fishing expeditions to distant grounds. EUPHORIA can reach 800+ nautical miles running at fast trawler speeds and 400 NM at 30-32 knot cruise speeds. Two fuel tanks hold a total of 1,365 gallons of diesel fuel for that range. Double Kohler generators run all onboard systems, while a 175-gallon water tank and watermaker keep freshwater plenished for self-sufficiency during weeks offshore. The entertainment system was upgraded in 2022 and a Starlink system was added in 2024 for remote communications.
The large fishing cockpit features a fighting chair for doing battle with pelagic billfish and the cockpit deck is brightly lighted for nighttime action. Glendinning trolling valve actuator provides electronic controls for 1-5 knot slow trolling speeds for better handling in any sea, less prop wash and noise for live bait fishing and dead-bait dredge fishing. EUPHORIA is equipped with triple spreader outriggers and Miya Epoch Super US-9 electric teaser reels. The cockpit mezzanine with seating is shaded by the bridge deck overhang and includes a large bait freezer, ice machine dump bin, drink box, bait box, storage and access to the gleaming white engine room!

Ricky Wheeler has spent his entire life being drawn to the water. After graduating from the University of Delaware, he had every intention of going back to get his Master’s Degree, but he decided to take a year off and take a full time sportfishing job as a First Mate before doing so. Well, he never looked back.
Ricky has spent his entire adult life and professional career as a Professional Sportfishing Captain. Having obtained his Captain’s License immediately after college, he has since accrued more hours on the water than most could dream, spending his time on numerous different boats and yachts (private and charter) successfully chasing fish in more countries than you can count on both hands and consistently winning fishing tournaments. Along with the tournament wins, Ricky has also set 16 IGFA Line Class World Records as a Captain. Aside from the fishing, he has also been a business owner of a successful tackle business for 7 years which he has sold in 2021.
In 2019, after having had his own charter fishing business for 4 years, Ricky decided it was time to get a sportfishing yacht of his own to continue his business on his own terms. All of 2019 was spent entirely retrofitting his 60’ Custom Sportfishing yacht to prepare it to fish and travel hard for the years to come. Ricky, with help, did all of the work himself throughout the process, and is still running trips on his yacht named EUPHORIA today. Along with starting this venture, Ricky has been a consultant for boat builds and retrofits such as Sportfishing Yacht mezzanines, and he also started a podcast called “The Saltwater Euphoria Podcast” to help others in the sportfishing industry get their name out there and also to help anyone willing to learn more about fishing, boating, and boat building to learn from each other via this podcast.
Ricky’s time spent gaining such vast knowledge between operating, maintaining, repairing, and retrofitting so many different kinds of vessels throughout his career makes him a perfect person to help you buy or sell your boat. Due to his experience, he is well versed in every aspect of boats, the maintaining of vessels, sportfishing, traveling by boat, and enjoying your time on the water safely every chance you can.
Ricky is beyond passionate about everything that has to do with boating and fishing, and the proof is in the fact that he himself does it year after year and loves nothing more then getting people on the water aboard his boat, EUPHORIA.
His wish is to help you achieve your dream of getting the perfect boat for yourself to enjoy the salt, sun, and fishing as well, and for those looking to sell their boat to make sure he helps you find that person looking to make your boat exactly that for them guiding you every step of the way.
