Reliable Performance, Impeccable Maintenance:
This 340 Amberjack is powered with optional Twin Caterpillar 3126 engines, boasting only approximately 1300 hours of smooth, reliable usage. These engines have been maintained with the utmost care by the experienced CAT Technician over the past 20 years. In February 2022, she received a comprehensive service, including 1000-hour service, Heat Exchanger, Engine Fuel Cooler, Transmission Oil Cooler, Impellers, Fuel Filters, Racor Filters, the list goes on. The New Westerbeke 5 Kw generator was installed in February 2020 and has very low hours. Complete Running Gear repair removing the Shafts, installing new Cutlass Bearings, Dripless Shaft Seals were performed in January 2022 with a fresh coat of bottom paint and a thorough detail in the same month.
The year 2023 the boat was relocated to their new home on New River, Fort Lauderdale, dubbed “Yachting Capital of the World”. Finally, they decided to put “In Deep Ship II” for sale and part with her to get their next boat. She was just waxed and ready for the next owner. The helm includes a backlit switch panel with illuminated weatherproof rocker switches, dual gear shift and throttle controls, and plenty of room for additional electronics. Down below, the galley features a refrigerator; flush-mount, two-burner electric stove; microwave; and fiberglass countertop with sink and Corian cutting board. The dinette easily seats four for meals, and the TV / VCR / radio combo provides electronic entertainment in the cabin. The full fiberglass-enclosed standup head with shower and curtain also features a VacuFlush head, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and a vanity with sink and storage below. The forward stateroom has a hanging locker with a mirrored door, side shelf storage, and a comfortable full-size bed. A pocket door ensures privacy. His first boat, 18 footer, back in 1986 in Lake Mead-Las Vegas, 3 years after coming to America!!! What an exhilarating first boating experience for a young Sri Lankan who grew up by the ocean and has, needless to say, the "water gene". Ever since a boater, he is now a husband and a father of a 12 year old daughter with whom he enjoys boating. Robert moved to Southern Florida in year 2000 to take a position as a Sales Professional at Marine Max. He joined InterMarine in 2014 as a Yacht Specialist, a 19 year veteran as a boat and yacht sales professional with local boating knowledge. His passion is to teach and help others with the same interest and he is very fortunate to have served many happy boaters in the past. Robert is a licensed captain and speaks fluent in Spanish.
