Captain Chris Ragni’s passion for boats and being on the water began at a very young age. His father, also a captain, showed him what boat building and fishing was all about. Growing up in Lewes Delaware, he spent summers and weekends learning the physics of boat building and became a mate on a charter boat at a very young age. As Chris grew older, he sparked an interest in becoming a captain and during his senior year of high school he went to captain’s school and received his merchant mariner credential.
Chris has a strong background in commercial crew boats and tugboats but his bread and butter is Sportfishing and Sportfishing yachts. Over the years, he has spent countless hours on the water doing vessel deliveries from Martha’s Vineyard to the Florida keys and the Bahamas. He also has significant experience fishing up and down the east coast with several tournament wins and accomplishments with some of the top tournament teams. Captain Ragni knows boats and boat maintenance like the back of his hand.
Currently, Chris is a full time charter boat captain out of Indian River Delaware aboard the highly successful Bill Slayer Sportfishing. His experiences over the last two decades has gained him the knowledge that can help you confidently purchase or sell your next boat.
