The PowerBoat Guide had this to say:
Like her smaller sisterships in the Monterey fleet, the 322 Cruiser is a well-executed blend of crisp styling, solid construction, and comfortable cabin accommodations. She’s a good-looking boat with her reverse arch and wraparound windshield, and she lacks the bloated, tall-freeboard appearance seen in many other express cruisers her size. Built on a deep-V hull with moderate beam, the mid-cabin floor-plan of the Monterey is an attractive mix of Corian counters, a curved earth-tone sofa, and premium fixtures. The mid-cabin is particularly spacious, and privacy curtains separate both sleeping areas from the salon. Three overhead hatches and five opening ports provide adequate cabin ventilation. In the cockpit, visibility from the elevated helm is excellent. There’s seating for six at the U-shaped lounge behind the helm, and a wet bar was standard. Note that a walk-through windshield provides access to the bow. Additional features include a foredeck sun pad, a molded pulpit, anchor locker, fender racks at the transom, and a foldaway transom seat.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Monterey 322 Cruiser has a forward raked radar arch that casts an eye-catching profile on this contemporary classic. Sleek, sophisticated and stylish, the 322 Cruiser has features like a molded-in anchor pulpit, foredeck sunpad, three strategically located deck hatches, and an easy-access walk-through windshield. The oversized cockpit boasts a portside molded-in working wetbar with storage and an optional icemaker. The stylish helm offers a split three-person bench seat, and when it's time to go overboard, there's a large transom swim platform with a recessed, telescopic boarding ladder. The popular extended swim platform that comes with its own recessed boarding ladder is an option. Aboard the flagship of the Monterey line, hatches and portholes make the interior a bright, airy haven. A comfortable forward double berth with privacy curtains and a plush mattress means secluded luxury for overnighting. The starboard L-shape dinette converts to a cozy berth. Direct / indirect 12-volt lighting creates a warm, well-lit ambiance enhanced by the rich, robust tones of a premium grade sound system. A well-equipped galley comes with standard coffee maker and microwave oven. The enclosed head features an integrated shower seat. There's plenty of storage below, too.
