Description
The Stevens 47 is a fast, capable cruiser designed by Rod Stephens of the legendary Sparkman and Stephens. It is one of the most well respected bluewater designs ever produced and continues to receive high marks from owners for her soft motion in a seaway, swift 200 nautical mile per day passages, and her luxurious 3-stateroom accommodations. The hull shape and keel-rudder configuration make the 47 comparatively stiff and well-balanced, and her sea-kindly motion won't tire the crew. As a testament to this hull design, it is still in production as the Hylas 49.
Moment is an excellent example of this model. She underwent an extensive refit during 2013-14 and has been continually updated and exceptionally well maintained since. Please view the Full Specifications for a complete list of upgrades and improvements performed under current ownership. It is rare to find a blue-water capable cruiser in this condition at this price range, and the next owner will benefit from a considerable investment in both time and money to make Moment a beautiful turn-key yacht.
In recent years, Moment has been used in a successful, high-end charter business on outer Cape Cod, providing deluxe, captained day charters and sunset cruises. As part of the seller's transition to other interests, this well-established business is available for sale as an option with the purchase of Moment. Please inquire for further deals if you are looking for an established, turn-key business opportunity.
