BROKER'S COMMENTS
Owner is an electrical engineer who spent many years in the marine electrical/electronic business and was a professional offshore captain. Pride of ownership is apparent when stepping aboard - this boat was his favorite personal project.
Over the past 14 years of ownership, many upgrades have been added which created an attractive and functional blend of old and new. This family treasure has always been berthed at a Fort Lauderdale yacht club and receives almost daily attention.
A comprehensive vessel monitoring/control system was added to provide an extra layer of safety and reliability. This system is normally found on much larger yachts and will monitor 32 analog channels, 17 digital channels and control 4 digital outputs. System can be observed/controlled from 5 different large screens and a cell phone. The system is easily expandable and generates e-mail warnings when faults/errors occur. This monitoring system is known to electrical engineers as a Supervisory Control and Data Acquistion System (SCADA).
All systems are documented with many CAD generated schematics, general descriptions, troubleshooting guides and general maintenance events.
It’s widely recognized that this vessel’s power train (Caterpillar 3208/ZF506), rated at modest power output is one of the most reliable in the business and should offer the new owner many more hours of extended cruising.
