Chris was born and raised around the Chesapeake, spending extended periods of time boating with his family – on sailboats with his parents and on powerboats with his grandfather. After graduating from college, Chris began what was supposed to be just a summer job selling boats, but what was intended to be a fun summer job turned into much more. He threw himself into the industry learning everything he could about every type of boat. In 2001, Chris opened Intrinsic Yacht & Ship. He began working with a select group of clients, helping them buy and sell their boats many times over.
