Dan sailed for over thirty years on Lake Michigan, competing in several cross-lake races including over 15 Queens Cup, numerous Clipper Cup and 2 Chicago to Mackinac races. After “retiring” from sailing, Dan purchased a 1976 Grand Banks 32 trawler and completed a solo Great Loop in 2017-2018. He currently owns a new Ranger Tug trawler and enjoys cruising the waters of Northern Michigan. Of all the cruising grounds experienced on the Great Loop, Dan finds northern Lake Michigan and Lake Huron to be some of the finest on the trip.
