1993 Custom 54' (16.46 m)
Bay City, Michigan, United States
Complete Refit 2006...Highly customized, professionally built to head out on the Loop. Owners successfully completed the loop in style, comfort and safety with her steel hull. A single diesel with large bow thruster makes the journey efficient and comfortable. Superior maneuverability with large wheel, rudder and thruster combination. Complete with a 22KW generator system and dual mini-splits for perfect heat and AC anywhere you choose to roam. The hull is a commercially built hull, transformed into a comfortable trawler style solution. Large keel protects the running gear and provides for additional comfort in unkind seas. Combine this with the weight of a steel trawler, and you have an ultimate long-distance platform. Steel is what the very best yachts are built with, safety and comfort without concern for any obstacles. With all new wiring, plumbing and custom woodwork throughout... it is a must see trawler. The owner is a chef, he must have a full fridge, full chest freezer, professional range and plenty of counter space to perform! There are no compromises in this kitchen to go anywhere you desire... cooking with style!

Dan sailed for over thirty years on Lake Michigan, competing in several cross-lake races including over 15 Queens Cup, numerous Clipper Cup and 2 Chicago to Mackinac races. After “retiring” from sailing, Dan purchased a 1976 Grand Banks 32 trawler and completed a solo Great Loop in 2017-2018. He currently owns a new Ranger Tug trawler and enjoys cruising the waters of Northern Michigan. Of all the cruising grounds experienced on the Great Loop, Dan finds northern Lake Michigan and Lake Huron to be some of the finest on the trip.
