Her interior is comfortable and inviting with air conditioning for those hot summer weekends. This nice boat offers most of the comforts of home, including hot and cold pressure water, refrigeration, stove/oven and more. "Practical Sailor" says of the Tartan 31, "Tartan has a reputation for solid construction and good workmanship and that's what the 31 is: Solid and well-put together." Aina Makani is a nice example of this durable boat and she is ready to give many years of fun to her new owners. Fantastic Family Cruiser/Club Racer & An Easy Boat To Single-Hand!

Description
Accommodations:
The interior was designed with offshore sailing in mind yet appears very contemporary in style. Angled bulkheads and cabin furniture in hand-rubbed teak provide an openness and a luxurious look without omitting any necessary features.
The forward stateroom provides a double berth to port and a seat, bureau and full hanging locker to starboard. The enclosed head includes marine toilet, sink and shower.
In the main cabin, a varnished bulkhead-mounted table hinges down between facing settees. To port, a fold-down wing provides full width to the pilot berth. The starboard settee is backed by a locker and bookshelves.
The galley, shaped in a shallow-U for security in a seaway, wraps an area to starboard at the foot of the companionway with a large, easily accessible and well-insulated icebox, standard 2-burner gimbaled CNG stove (with oven), storage trap and deep stainless steel sink. Outboard and aft are teak-louvered cabinets and storage drawers.
To port is a large navigation station with drawers, lockers and other cabinetry for instrumentation, additional equipment and charts. The hart table hinges up to provide access aft to a 5-foot wide double quarter berth that is a full 6'4" in length.
Interior cabinetry and trim are hand-oiled teak. Ventilation, always an important Tartan consideration, is provided via (9) aluminum-framed opening port lights, (3) overhead hatches and (2) dorades.
Galley:
The galley is to starboard of the companionway and is nicely equipped for a boat of her size. There is a stove, refrigerated ice box, sink and storage in three drawers and louvered cabinets behind the stove. An opening port above the stove provides ventilation while preparing meals while underway or on the hook.

I love boats…everything about them. I enjoy being on the water, the feel and the visual.
I have owned a boat of one size or another since I was 18 years old. I purchased my first boat, a used 14ft Sears Gamefisher trihull, with funds from working at a grocery store. Through the years, I have progressed up in the size of boats but that feeling of boat ownership has never changed. I have many years of practical knowledge gained by owning sailboats and power boats. I have cruised the Texas gulf coast in my 34 Oday sailboat. I currently own a 40’ trawler that I have lived aboard on and off for 9 years. Over the past 9 years, I have had the opportunity to cruise my trawler through the entire gulf coast, Florida Keys, and the Bahamas.
If you are interested in Trawler style boats for cruising the Great Loop, Bahamas, or a comfortable liveaboard, I have a wealth of information to share with you.
If you are looking at sailboats for local coastal cruising or heading to the islands, I also have a wealth of information to share with you.
If a new sailboat is in your future, we represent Catalina and Lagoon, two of the most popular manufacturers in sailing today. With Catalina’s new line of True North power boats, we are excited to now bring new powerboats to the market along with new sailboats.
If you are looking to sell, I would like the opportunity to represent your boat with Little Yacht Sales. Let me put my experience and passion for boats to work for you.
It is my goal to share my love and knowledge for boats, cruising, and the boating lifestyle. I want to help you find the right boat while making the process educational, enjoyable, and stress free.
