Born and raised in Lancaster County, Scott grew up boating and fishing with his family on the Northern Chesapeake Bay and in Ocean City, Maryland. In the early ’90s, he discovered his love for offshore fishing and began working as a mate on a 38-foot sportfishing boat—splitting his time between the Chesapeake in the spring and fall, and Ocean City in the summer. From 1992 to 1995, he freelanced on a variety of private and charter boats while also working in custom home building.
In 1997, Scott became a full-time captain on a 53-foot private fishing boat that traveled along the East Coast and throughout the Caribbean. A few years later, he joined the crew of a 140-foot motor yacht that cruised between the East Coast, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean, earning his STCW-95 and SCUBA certifications along the way. After relocating to Fort Pierce, Florida in 2002, he captained a 57-foot sportfishing boat fishing extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America, and earned his 100-Ton Master’s License through Sea School.
After eight years of traveling thousands of miles by sea, Scott decided it was time to put down roots. He returned to Ocean City, founded Atlantic Marine Detailing, and launched a successful career in yacht sales in 2012. In 2017, he joined the Intrinsic sales team, where his decades of hands-on experience and deep knowledge of boats have made him an invaluable resource for clients.
When he’s not helping clients or running boats, Scott can be found offshore fishing or spending time with his wife, Missy, and their two sons.
