POWERBOAT GUIDE DESCRIPTION: Largest boat in the Carver fleet when she was introduced in 1993, the Carver 440 Aft Cabin is an enduring blend of 1990’s motoryacht styling and luxury. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a generous 15-foot beam, the 440 Aft Cabin is a big boat on the inside. Boasting an unusually spacious salon, two double staterooms, two heads—both with separate stall showers—and a convertible U-shaped dinette, the 440 can sleep up to eight adults. A lower helm was a popular option, and large wraparound salon windows admit tons of natural lighting. The galley, two steps down from the salon, includes a double sink and full-size refrigerator/freezer. Aft of the salon, the master stateroom features a walk-around queen berth, hanging locker, and private en suite head. Forward, the guest stateroom has an angled double berth, hanging locker, and private access to the second day head. The 440’s semi-enclosed aft deck has a full wet bar with refrigerator and ice maker. A salon entertainment center, foredeck sun lounge, aft deck wing doors, and radar arch were standard.

Founder Tom Dunigan's journey into the business started at a young age. He grew up on the water spending his summers at The Detroit Yacht Club and winters in Southwest Florida developing a strong passion for boating immediately. His teenage years were spent working at Hossack Marine Sales on Lake St. Clair and honed his skills through years of hands-on experience. In the spring of 2019, the boating community suffered the tragic loss of Scott Hossack, founder of Hossack Marine Sales who mentored Tom in the business. The impact Scott had on Tom inspired him to start the Dunigan Marine Group. The company started as a one-man operation specializing in brokerage services and the acclaimed Vessel Education Training. Today, Dunigan Marine has now grown to a multi personnel sales team serving all bodies of water in South East Michigan and their customers boating needs.
