2009 Perry 63' (19.20 m)
Saint Augustine
Phoenix XI is a unique and special vessel.Originally based on the successful Perry 57 catamarans built at the Perry yard in Australia, the factory offered an upgraded version with increased ability to do fast and extended periods of motoring.Although the Perry 63 motors well, she also maintains the same excellent sailing performance as the smaller model.Phoenix XI is as comfortable sailing at 10-12 kts as she is motoring at 10-12 kts and she has excellent light wind sailing performance.Under power, the twin Volvo D4 300hp diesel engines will push this boat to a maximum speed of around 20kts.She also has excellent fuel capacity with a range of about 3000nm at max efficiency.Only three of these incredible vessels were completed and there is nothing else currently on the market that can match her impressive combination of motoring and sailing performance. The cockpit and foredeck offer excellent lounge areas for your guests to comfortably relax. The bulkhead-oriented helm gives the skipper fantastic visibility while maintaining excellent weather protection and security. Phoenix XI is rigged to be operated mostly from the helm so can be easily managed by two competent sailors and was even sailed solo by the previous owner. This vessel has two large spacious forward staterooms which feature generous island style queen beds and ensuite heads and showers. An additional convertible king or double twin cabin is situated in the aft starboard hull. There is a large main bathroom in the port aft hull which contains a full-size enclosed shower and a full-size bathtub. Phoenix XI has a 3-cabin owner's version layout with a gorgeous interior fit and finish. She feels and lives like a 3-bedroom luxury apartment. The spacious salon and open layout are complimented by the large windows which offer a bright and lovely living space.Extensions to the transom steps (originally to accommodate carrying 2 jet skis) creates very easy access to the boat from the dinghy or dock. The bows were modified under the supervision of the yacht's designer Brian Perry at his factory to incorporate an inverted wave-piercing design, which gives the vessel a very distinctive modern look. Both of these modifications improved her already impressive sailing characteristics and resulted in more aggressive lines which turn heads in every anchorage. Phoenix XI has an impressive list of equipment and upgrades, starting with a Jacuzzi built into the foredeck. Some of her other highlights include: 300hp Volvo D4-300 Diesel Engines with straight shaft and feathering props 25kWh Battle Born Lithium House Battery Bank 3040 watts of Solar on a Custom Arch Full B&G Navigation Electronics suite Washer and Dryer Dishwasher Coltri Dive Compressor New Standing Rigging (Feb 2021) And much more! Phoenix XI is US import duty paid and available for showings by appointment. She is currently cruising in the Bahamas but the owners are flexible and willing to coordinate showings with serious potential buyers.

Andrew grew up sailing his fathers Hobie Cat and transitioned that into a long career as a USCG licensed captain in the yachting industry. Working his way up from his college years as a sailing instructor to a position as a private yacht captain aboard a Gunboat 57, he brings with him a comprehensive knowledge of catamarans and the cruising life. His career has taken him from his home waters of Cape Fear, through the waters of the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Central, South American, and the South Pacific Islands. During that time he worked as a charter yacht captain and a professional delivery skipper specializing in catamarans. Andrew has operated a wide variety of multihulls, everything from from old Lagoons to brand new Outremers and most things in between. This experience has given him an extensive first-hand knowledge of many different makes and models and a solid understanding of their various strengths and weaknesses.
He has now settled down with his family in St Augustine, Florida and seeks to share his passion for catamaran sailing and the cruising life with others.
