Description
Combine legendary yacht designer Bill Dixon together with world renowned builder Ta Shing and you have the recipe for a highly successful blue water cruising pedigree. Owl and Pussycat is a stunning example of what can be achieved when form follows function. This Taswell 49 has been lovingly cared for and continually updated by her current owners. Actively cruised her equipment has been well thought out and you will be hard pressed to find a more capable blue water voyaging platform. Her spacious layout features a centerline queen aft cabin with ensuite head and separate shower. Her walk through galley affords ample counter space while providing security for work at sea. Two large cool boxes with independent refrigeration systems offer both flexibility and redundancy. A large salon with newly updated upholstery provides a comfortable seating and dining area. To starboard you will find a well equipped navigation station with room to accommodate todays latest tech along with an Icom 802 SSB radio. Moving forward is a crew cabin to port with double bunks, drawers for storage and a hanging locker. The forward head also features a separate shower. The forward cabin provides plenty of space with its large V-berth and more storage. Your guests will be made to feel at home. A close inspection of her equipment will reveal many recent updates including new sails, awlgrip topsides, and coppercoat bottom. Owl and Pussycat has been well outfitted for off the grid living. Solar power and a wind generator charging batteries have led to low hours on her original genset. Actively cruising the Eastern Caribbean Owl and Pussycat await her new owners ready to continue the adventure.

Boat History
- The boat was originally exhibited in Italy in 1990. From the Italian registration document it was purchased by two private individuals, probably a couple. In 1995 registration was transferred to their two sons. It was sold by them in 2003 to a Sonia Mori. We then purchased her in 2017 and reregistered in the UK. The previous owner sailed primarily in Italy with a transatlantic circuit about 2006. We have sailed her throughout the Mediterranean 2017 - 2022, then crossed to the Caribbean in 2022 via Cape Verdes.
