Manufacturers Description
From Powerboat Guide:
A hugely popular boat, the Jupiter 31 has ranked among the best boats in her class for many years. She was available in three configurations: open fisherman (pictured), cuddy cabin, and the popular forward seating model introduced in 2003. Originally a semi-custom boat, the 31 is built on a high-performance deep-V hull with moderate beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. No wood is used in the construction, and the bottom has a keel pad from the stern forward for extra lift. The outboard bracket was beefed up in 2003 to handle today?s high-horsepower 4-stroke engines.
Standard features include:
- transom rigging station with sink
- transom livewell
- lockable rod storage
- fresh/raw-water washdowns
- roomy walk-in console with marine head and sink/shower
- in-deck fish boxes
- leaning post with rod holders
- in-deck dry storage
- cockpit bolsters
- anchor locker
- trim tabs.
Tons of factory options were available. Note the Jupiter?s oversized console and spacious helm area. An iconic boat, over 1,000 Jupiter 31s are said to have been built during her production years. Mercury 275hp Verados deliver a top speed in the range of 45 knots.

David likes to joke that he was born on the water and was sailing before he could walk. There may be some proof to that as his father and business partner Lee has circulated photos around the office of David single handing the families “sailing dinghy” at a very young age.
As a youngster, he became a successful sailor at the Thames Yacht Club (TYC) in New London, Ct. As a member of the TYC’s competitive sailing team racing Lasers, Blue Jays & 420’s. Through the years, he’s competed in countless one-design regattas, Block Island Race week, Off Soundings and even competed in 420 Nationals, where some of the most feverish competition was always expected.
During the “summer season” David could always be found somewhere on the water running boats all over New England, fishing, sailing, diving. At the young age of 15, David and his father Lee sailed the families J30 from New England to the West Coast of Florida where they set roots.
After spending the better part of two decades in various Executive Management & Sales positions in the mortgage lending/servicing and Default Asset Management space. Most recently serving as VP of Operations/Vendor Management for a National Default Asset Management Company and previously serving as the C.O.O. of a national asset disposition firm managing R.E.O. Properties for the nation’s largest financial institutions. David decided it was time to return to his passion of the marine industry.
With nearly 10 years of brokerage experience with some of Florida’s premier Yacht Sales Organizations, where he created the marketing and on-site display at Marina Jack, serving as the Edgewater Boats Product Line Manager. David also assisted with the Vicem & Marquis lines. David & Lee decided it was time to build their own brand and formed Professional Yacht Sales International in September of 2018.
David’s vast knowledge of both power and sailboaters’ needs gives our clients a comfort level that their best interests and Professional Representation are his primary concern. Regardless of which side of the transaction (buyer/seller/both) he is on, David brings his lifetime of experiences to every client relationship always putting the client’s needs first.
When he is not working (which is rarely) he is an avid boater, scuba diver & fisherman competing in local fishing tournaments.
